Insomniac vs Naughty Dog

Insomniac: Spyro series, Ratchet and Clank series, Resistance (soon to become a series)

Naugty Dog: Crash Bandicoot series, Jak and Daxter series, Uncharted (likley to become a series as well)

Insomniac and Naughty Dog were unquestionably two of Sony's best developers on the PS2. Games from the Ratchet & Clank series and the Jak & Daxter series on the PS2 were released once a year, most times within a month or two of each other. This competition was highlighted when, in the later games of the series, you could find pictures of Jak and Daxter on billboards in the Ratchet & Clank games, and pictures of Ratchet and Clank on the billboards of Jak and Daxter games. Man, those were the golden days for most PS2 owners.

Both Insomniac and Naughty Dog have created a new series for the PS3 (not sure about Uncharted, but the ending hinted at more adventures to come), and have brought their PS2 series onto the PS3 (Naughty Dog has rumored at a Jak and Daxter game for the PS3 which would be awesome). Hopefully, they will continue their great reputations from the PS2 on the PS3.

At this point, I'd have to give the edge to Insomniac as they have released two games for the PS3 in comparison to Naughty Dog with one. However, I'm reserving my final judgement for when I find out wether there will be sequels to Uncharted, and whether or not they bring Jak and Daxter to the PS3.

So, my question is, which developer do you like more between the two?

Yes both are great, especially what both companies have done mixing what went good for games and making them better into one game. Resistance and Uncharted do this very well. Both Uncharted and Resistance will continue, Resistance to rumored to come out late 2008, but since Uncharted just released the 16 Nov no word has been said about a date. There is however for sure a series of adventures Nathan, Elena, and Victor will go on though.(also stated at the end of the game in dialogue)Bri294

Yes, I know. That's why I said that the ending hinted at more games. However, nothing is official yet, so I didn't want to give people false hopes.

I have to go with Naughty Dog. The sheer quality of Uncharted has biased me. I'm an ND Fanboy now. :P

I will probably want to make love to Insomniac next year again when Resistance 2 comes out.

Both are great, and both will continue to be the best developers on the PS3. Uncharted 2 and Resistance 2 are waiting in the wings ..420Token420

I want the two companies to work on a game together. It would be soo awesome! Resistance was my first PS3 game I got, and I'm waiting for Xmas for Uncharted (Got the Demo, and I fell in love). Funny thing is, my girlfriend has gotten me into these two companies with their past games, just this year, xD. I played a little Jak 2, and I couldn't believe what I was missing out on. xYamatox

That would be so awesome if they did make a game together once they were finished with Resistance and Uncharted. It would be the greatest game of all time.

First Person Shooter. It was their first game.

I've got Disruptor, playing it again like several months ago, the controls are wierd. The whole left and right to turn, and up and down to go forward and backwards. Its not like point the analoge in the way you want to go.

Nevertheless it was a good game back then.

Yeah, they've definitely found their stride with the PS3.

It's impossible to choose! But Recently Isomaniac has released to games but in the past Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter were awesome and Uncharted is looking that way (getting it with a ps3 for xmas.)

I say Naughty Dog based on past performance (I prefer Jak>Ratchet and Crash>Spyro) I vote Naughty Dog but I'm getiing Resistance and Uncharted with my ps3 so yeah.

Both are awesome devs, but I got to go with Insomniac. I liked the original Spyro's better than Crash, Ratchet and Clank much more than Jak and Daxter ( don't even own any Jak games, just played them)

The only game Insomniac came out with that I didn't care for was Resistance.

What do you guys think the story will befor the new Jak and Daxter game. Its supposed to be called "The Lost Frontier," so which part of the storyline do you think it will take place in?

I really have no idea where they could fit it in or what it could be about. Do you guys have any ideas?
