i found this awesome site : fedoraps3.tk

it tells u how to install fedora.

here's a couple of thing i want to point out:

1. do the full installation. the minimum installaton doesn't even have the GUI.

2. after doing that stuff it tells u for the internet, you also have to create a new connection in : settings> internet> NETWORK. or something like that.

3. one AWESOME thing about fedora is that you CAN CONNECT TO A NORMAL COMPUTER OF THE INTERNET. if you have a home network already setup at your house, the ps3 will be the new compueter.

4. fedora 6 doesn't work on the ps3 just cause the screen messes up when it starts. don't ask about that.

i'll be answering any Q's u have.

Fedora core 5 is snap to install! Playing multi-media however is a major chore (no out of the box video/dvd support on FC5- and totem is lame). After a week of messing around I managed to get vlc to work.

Side note: why do people criticise the look of the PS3? I think it looks great... Consoles have come a long way in the looks department since the days of the ps1 or xbox.
