In order to get the data off that drive, you have to put it back in the PS3. Then you can either copy each game data file, or saved game file to a USB device. Or you can just run the system backup and back it up to a USB device

The original hdd is in an exclosure? And your PS2 currently has a different hdd in it?

You've lost your data. If you put the original hdd back in, it will want to format it, since your system is now paired with your new hdd. You gotta regularly back up your data, at least your save data. I got a memory stick i copy my game saves to regularly.

reallyso the original seagate 60gb , even if i put it in the pc i can't get the data back no without format , you can swap around hdd, so i guess il have to copy one by one onto memory if thats the only way and im not able to make the harddrive into a removable disk

so i really need to access my old hdd which was the seagate 60gb in my ps3 , i need to get the save data off there , basically i bought an enclosure for 2,5" it works via usb, the trouble is i need to get the files off and move them to the new hdd but i can't because on windows you have to format and on the ps3 , well it will take to long.
