I have broadband dsl, no router, and I try to connect the ps3 to the modem through an ethernet cord. Every time i do a connection test, it says DNS 80710102 error.

I've been trying to figure this out for a while, but I can't get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It can always find the IP adress, but then the connection test fails

Do you think that would solve the problem with the error?

In all odds yes it will. Plus its a lot more convienient, and you can use it for other devices. The dns error could be a problem with the modem. Reset it all n reboot.

...yes.

you could also try the professional help of any electronic guy. and see what happens then? try rebooting the router first though. see what happens

Thanks people, I think I'll try buying a modem. I already unplugged and replugged everything in the modem a couple times, and still got the error
