Inviting friends on COD4??!

ok, so how come when me and my friends try and invite each other to each others parties, it says "cannot connect to host" and stuff like that, will not work! and im getting frustrated since some of my friends bought the game yesterday, any help would be appreciated, idk if im doing something wrong or what

This error happens only once in a while. When it does I just need to wait for the person to invite me back again and then it works. There is a patch coming out soon which I cannot wait for because it will fix that bug and it will also fix the very annoying occurence of when the host leaves the whole game ends. Its very annoying when your in the middle of a search an destroy game and the host is on the other team and he just leaves. The only fix for that currently is that you have a host that is cool or you are the host =D Anyways hope i helped.

For me, I had to replace it. Put your ps3 on the DMZ/open up the appropriate ports and see if that works. If you're unfamiliar with that, just google it, there's plenty of info on it. I don't know if someone has come up with a concrete solution for this problem so many people are having, but good luck.

Unfortunately none of this worked for me and I just used my roommate's old router. I think it's something on IW's end that only affects people with certain routers for some lame reason. Anyway, hope it works out for you.

P.S. Also, i've noticed that if you unplug your router when trying to join a friend it will work when your connection resets....try that for now, even though it's a pain :(
