It depends on how far you really want to take your PSP, but for all saves 1 GB is fine. For music you are going to at least want a 4 GB(bout 1000 songs) and for games a 8 gb is great. but really if you only want to play retail games, anything over 1 gb is probably overkill.

You bet it is. I have Slimline PSP Darth Vader edition with a 4gig memory stick. I'll never fill it up. I only use my PSP for playing games. No music, Videos,Photos etc. I had PSP Phat before The original "Value Pack" which came with Headphones, Cheap Slipcase, Wiping cloth And The tiny 30MB Memory Stick Which held 20 PSP games saves. I still had 6MB free on that Tiny memory stick.

So if your just play games on PSP. 1 GB is good.

Yeah, I'll probably only be using the PSP for games. Maybe the demos too but that's it. I'm trading with a friend. I hope he accepts my deal to purchase his PSP. :P

As many as the memory card can hold, usually.

Plenty of space for save game files.. a demo or two and a half dozen songs.

However, downloading full games and holding a music or movie collection is well beyond a 1gb card.  Most full games - like Jeane d'Arc - are about 700mb.

If you're playing games off the memory stick, you'll probably want a bigger one, some games are larger than 1 GB alone, like Crisis Core, God of War or Field Commander. But, yeah, for anything else, 1GB is enough.

If you are just using it for game saves, then yes that is more than enough.

My PSP use 4GB memory, I just put games in it. As transferring PSP game from PC is kind of slow, so I have to upload several games once, in my opinion, the memory stick should the bigger the better. hahaha. :)

1gb was a good amount of memory when the system launched but now it's obsolete. I recently upgraded to a 16gb but even an 8gb card will future proof you for awile.

no 1gb is not enough.  I have a 4gig with some videos, mp3s, pictures, and gamesaves, and i think i've used up 3GB.  since teh 1gb is cheap enough, i guess you could have a 1gb stick just for game saves or mp3s..... but i personally like having room for everything.
