As Iasked in the topic title, is 1 GB of memory a lot for the PSP. And approximately how many games can I store with 1 GB.

You bet it is. I have Slimline PSP Darth Vader edition with a 4gig memory stick. I'll never fill it up. I only use my PSP for playing games. No music, Videos,Photos etc. I had PSP Phat before The original "Value Pack" which came with Headphones, Cheap Slipcase, Wiping cloth And The tiny 30MB Memory Stick Which held 20 PSP games saves. I still had 6MB free on that Tiny memory stick.
So if your just play games on PSP. 1 GB is good.Â

yes 1 gig is a good amount of memory.i know it can hold a lot of games.ironbat25Thats all its good for. Movies, music, games, demos, will need more memory.
can u like start two save files for the same game on the same memory card?
just wodering
As many as the memory card can hold, usually.Plenty of space for save game files.. a demo or two and a half dozen songs.Â
However, downloading full games and holding a music or movie collection is well beyond a 1gb card. Most full games - like Jeane d'Arc - are about 700mb.
1gb was a good amount of memory when the system launched but now it's obsolete. I recently upgraded to a 16gb but even an 8gb card will future proof you for awile.

no 1gb is not enough. I have a 4gig with some videos, mp3s, pictures, and gamesaves, and i think i've used up 3GB. since teh 1gb is cheap enough, i guess you could have a 1gb stick just for game saves or mp3s..... but i personally like having room for everything.
