is a psp 3000 worth it

Up to you really, I wouldnt get it cause I heard Sony have made it hack proof.

kingdom hearts: birth by sleep, dissidia: final fantasy, parasite eve: the third birthday, patapon 2, final fantasy agito xiii, yggdra union (already out) ..

not a bad lineup if you ask me. and it's about time.

i have the origonal psp and whith all these great psp titals coming out here is the qwestion is it worth trading my old one for the psp 3000 it whould be awsome to play all these titals in better color and sound what do you thinkkimpachi14

The only reason I can see for upgrading to the 3000 model would be if you play your psp outside in the sun alot. But I would have to say no, it isn't worth it to upgrade for.

I'm getting it so that I can use my standard DVD recorder with it. I bought the PSP-2000 for that, but since it only puts out signal in 480p, I can't use it with my current DVD recorder to make gameplay videos. The biggest improvement for me is allowing interlaced output to TV.

Depends how you play/us it. Do you have games that you can chat online? Do you use Go!Messenger? Do you use Skype? Do you play outside or in the sunlight? Do you play on the TV? Do you really care about ghosting or whatever? Do you care if the colour is that much better?

So really its majority rules. If you say yes more get it if you say no more don't get it. I've probably left some out but you get the point.

I don't know, It depends in what condition is your current psp, mine was really busted and I upgraded to a GOW slim.

But If you still have the phat, I think is worth it, cause the D-pad is very much improved

Im just sayin what Sony have stated, nothing more.

To be honest, I feel as we need a "PSP2" instead of a new model. I never enjoyed the PSP a great deal. Just imagine sony made "Blu-ray UMD", Wow that would be amazing.:D I'll stop dreaming now.

I also had a think that they might be doing it to get rid of all the hackers, as PSP1000 and 2000 (Slim) were all hackable.

But there is the better screen for playing outside, which could be worth it as I do take my PSP out and about with me at times.

A bad line up if you ask me same old sony and square enix remake and old franchise, no new IP, what happen to being original.

the psp 3000 isnt hack proof sum1 is gonna find a new way to hack it, sony is just tightning up the security

Granted, there are some people that 'hack' and still buy all their games, which is good. But making the new 3000 'hack proof' is to get people to develop for it.

Also, THE SCREEN AND MIC ARE NOT THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT. I'm getting the 3000 for the processor upgrade. Twice as fast, reduce my load times, and increase response time? Count me in.

'Remake an old franchise'

An old franshise that just gets better and better. Dissidia is an FF fan's dream. Agito as well. As far as Parasite Eve? I've been waiting for more of that story for a long time. Yggdra is brilliant, bought it day one and haven't regretted it.

Wasn't a fan of Patapon, but the fact is, they WILL be good games, unoriginal or not.

IMO those games will be original, you know, new ORIGINAL storyline and all.

you mean Trade ?? Who would trade a 1000 for a 3000, that would be stupid and awesome, if trade them yes but if you have to buy then i dont think you sould, just keep ur money cause new PSP will be coming out

You know what man, I am actually going to do the same thing. I have the PSP 1000 and it is in good condition, but Im going to upgrade to the 3000. Now if you own a PSP slim, I won't upgrade yet. I would wait out. I do plan on getting the core unit.

Really!?! How fast are the loading time compared to the PSP & PSP slim? I remember PSP slim being half the time of the PSP.

If you don't have one, a big yes. Awesome machine IMO.
