Yes, it's worth it. Great system, great games, online capabilities (surf the web, play friends online), listen to music, watch videos, and RSS feeds.
I would highly recommend it. I was in the same situation buying mine mainly for summer travel. With the price drop to $170 its a great time to buy. Circuit city has GTA LCS for $10 since you are interested in that. Also gamestop has 2Gb cards for $30. And you should be interested in online. Socom 2 and MGS are great online, it really opens up the game for a new experience.
If you are thinking about it then i would recommend it. The graphics are nearly comparable to early and current ps2 graphics.
[QUOTE="deardiary"]The ONLY thing I have mine for is emulation.

then you're missing out. Play some psp games, since you don't really have the right to say psp games are crap unless you've played some.
I've played them. There's a few diamonds mixed in with the turds, and MORE AWESOME on the way. But Sony's taking it's time bringing it out... Loco Roco, Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear Portable Ops, etc are all winners, but I bought my PSP SPECIFICALLY for Silent Hill Origins, which keeps getting pushed back. *laugh* Also looking forward to the FFT Lion's War, and Rondo of Blood remix.
But on topic, if you like the line up, YES, it's worth it. But if it's a road trip machine... get a spare battery, car charger, and extra battery charger. They will serve you well.
At this point I don't see how anyone can ignore it. The PSP has great games already and is getting THE BESY handheld lineup this year. You cannot ignore that. I would highly recomend the PSP to anyone who does not have one. Like all previous PS products, it already has a great library that spans many genres, and an amazing level of functionality, and it is only getting better with firmware updates. If you like GTA you are definately going to want a PSP. LCS and VCS both run at a better framerate on PSP and they have some pretty sweet multiplayer modes as well. Thes Sports games are also much better on PSP they are more like the console games on the go, where as the sports scene on the DS is a total mess. If Mario, pokemon, and Nintendogs, are your type of game, then I would go with the DS. But if you are into GTA, MGS, and Tekken. Then the PSP is without a doubt the handheld of choice for those type of games.Devilwillcry
Quote for truth. I have a psp an ds and I am much more looking forward to the upcoming psp games than ds games this year.
