Is anyone else just sick of waiting?!

Gran Turismo 5 - what they've shown so far is barely substantial, knowing that the game has been in development for years now. It's just starting to annoy me. I'm a MASSIVE fan of the franchise, but seriously, if what they've claimed is true after what we saw last month, that the videos we saw were on a dated model and that we've got much more to see... Well considering they've got, what, 3 months before release?! Show us some ****ing footage already.

I'm tired of waiting for UC2, Tekken 6, and MW2, and many many others. This is going to be a great fall and winter season. In the house with nothing to do except play great games while the snow falls outside. Can't wait.

There's plenty of other AAA games coming in the next few months to hold me over. I don't mind the wait. I've waited years for the game, and a few more months compared to that is trivial in my mind at this point. Before I know it, it's release will be right around the corner.

I'm pretty sure UC2 and MW2 will live up they almost have to. The others I can't say but the blockbusters have to be excellent.

It'll get high scores, but only because reviewers will fear a uproar if they don't give it 9+ due to how long its took..

i have a few games that i need to finish before waiting a game so no for me :)

Why don't you go work for them? Surely you know what it takes to make a high-end videogame in a shorter amount of time. :roll:

well, you've said that you're a fan of the franchise, correct?

and technically speaking, even in the worst case scenario GT5 will still be a... Gran Turismo game.

it's not like the devs are going to come up with a new formula; they'll be sticking to what brought the series success in the first place: the ability to buy a ton of cars from all around the world and customize them to your hearts content. Because let's be real here, the actual racing element was never Gran Turismo's strong point; it wasn't bad, but definitely not best. However, that never stopped me from coming back for more car acquisition and customization goodness...

And that's what i would expect GT5 to be: a solid racer with a ton of customizable content, which is pretty much the definition of every GT game, the only difference being that GT5 will have next gen graphics and Internet enabled MP (which i doubt will be any different from GT5 prologue)...

... Even is the there's a chance that the devs indeed messed with the GT formula, i would still bet that GT5 will be more like it's predecessors rather than an entirely different racer.

So if you expect it to be anything more than that, you might be in for a disappointment.

im also very dissapointed by the lack of information we have about GT5. Polyphony better be taking its time for a reason.

I made myself pretty clear.

If you had any idea how much time and effort it takes to make a high-end game (or videogames in general for that matter), you wouldn't be complaining.
