I'm ashamed by not playing any other Twisted metal's, I would play TM:Black, but I dont have a compatible PS3 or PS2, But I am VERY excited for Twisted Metal PS3. Best game shown at E3 IMO.
I was excited by just a gut reaction but my mind has stopped that thankfully. Twisted Metal 1 is tied with Resident Evil 1 as my favorite game ever and I did like 2 (only the coop) so that is why I got excited- some of the gameplay looked interesting too. I hated Black and am still up in the air about Head On PS2 edition (think I like the extras more than the game). So if I still have my PS3 when this comes out I will be either super excited because I love it or unaffected since I didn't get my hopes up.

I'm somewhat pumped. I had some good times playing the Twisted Metal games back in the day. I'm just not going to love all of the childish smack-talk I'll be hearing during the online play.
i pumped, man its been 8 years since i've played a twisted metal game and its great to see it coming back. i was 6 years old when twisted metal 1 came out and i used to play it with my dad and my brother all the time. i got alot of good memories with the twisted metal franchise.
cant wait although i dont remember playing marathon sessions like other games iv played, one thing TM games have always been good at is cheering you up with violent and ruthless fun. with this GT5, motorstorm, test drive 2 and the new NFS hot pursuit from Criterion, racing fans have got some good year ahead and enough to keep you busy with blur and MNR
Maybe not "pumped" but mildly excited, yes. Twisted Metal 2 was all my friends and I would play together back in the day. The reason why I say mildly excited is because Twisted Metal 2 was the only one we liked from the franchise. So I'm still a little cautious about it.
Definitely pumped. This is one of the original 10 games on Playstation that basically sold the console to gamers around the World. I also loved the first Resident Evil. I wish I could go back and relive the Playstation 1 days all over again honestly. So many good games... granted you can play them other ways now but it's just not the same :/
Everyone below my comment, okay. I understand Twisted Metal is a great franchise but this time there is a big "BUT" opinion in this new title. Is not that I ain't pumped or that I'm trying to disturb all of you with my post "BUT" the game, the game looks pretty much everything I experienced in 2001 with Twisted Metal Black, after almost ten years? I mean I really expected the new twisted metal to be a whole lot different, in better words, improved. The graphics are obviously not the same but come 'on! Twisted Metal is a masterpiece franchise, why couldn't they just made some 2008 MGS4 graphics? I'm not asking for some extremely spectacular Final Fantasy 13 graphics but hey! We're almost 2011, some quality is needed for full satisfaction. Plus, "BUT" number 2, realism, for those who experienced the trailer, did you notice building destruction? For a moment there, it seems like breaking a simple digital piece of paper. Technology can do real, and so PS3. Is it me or are they stuck in the new "millennium"? The point is, we have been waiting since 2006 for Gran Turismo 5. Now living 2010, we have seen great results of the hard work of Polyphony. I personally enjoyed Twisted Metal Black back in the early 2000's a whole lot more than Gran Tursimo 3, which was released a month later of Twisted Metal Black release, in the summer of 2001. Almost a decade later and zero updates, no game. Now that there's work in progress, I've seen no true difference. Is not that no one will not get it, but it's kind of a disappointment for, at least, myself, a girl that did waited for a new version of the fun and bloody-gore 2001 masterpiece. What happened?
The one thing that disappoints me though is that they are aiming for a Teen rating :cry:

Game looks fun but as someone else mentioned you'd think that when you destroyed buildings they would actually be destroyed and not just dissappear.
The buildings disappearing were a bug, that was confirmed. I don't remember if Jaffe said it in a video or if I read an article or heard it on a Podcast.
I'm pumped some days and other days not so much the game looks sweet and crappy, and as twisted metal history shows the game can go either way in being amazing or horrible.
I am so pumped right now, the MP is going to be insanely fun and I am so glad Jaffe is back making big budget titles, the last one being GOW in 2005 which is one of fav hack n slash titles, and I just know Jaffe will deliver again.
