Im getting Mercenaries 2 instead. Ive been waiting to play this game since I finished Mercs 1 a couple years ago. I only have enough money for one of these games, and LBP looks cool, but Mercs 2 will be sure to satisfy me since I loved the first game. Im just not sure LBP will strike me to begin with, so Im gonna rent it, and if I really like it, I'll get it sometime next month or so.

Is anyone else not getting LBP, and why?

I was planning to purchase LBP day one, but now I'm having second thoughts. Although the special edition with Kratos and Heavenly Sword chick in-game characters are very tempting. We'll see. ;)

Yea I am not gonna pre order or go on day one and buy, but I will eventually get it. I havent researched it enough yet to be honest. I am interested in it tho.

Well, I'm planning to read reviews before getting it, so if the reviews come out late (as they often do), then I'll wait a bit on it. But it is one of only two games I'm thinking of getting for the rest of the year, so I won't put it off long.

I probably won't, mainly because I need to play a lot more first, i.e. MGS4, Res 1, etc. There's too much out there I need to play and I tend to wait to buy a game used if I can as well.

i probably won't buy it right away. i still want it, but i have this uneasy feeling that spore will be running my life from release on. i'm not even sure if i'm gonna buy force unleashed on day one anymore :roll:

I'm going to wait for the reviews first. Although it looks interesting, there seems to be an emphasis on the online part. Since I don't usually play online, I might not be able to enjoy the whole game.

I don't know enough about this game to really go out and buy it on day one. Truth be told I only play my PS3 maybe 2 hours a week if that.
