Hey guys I was thinking about getting Assassin's Creed and I just wanted to know your thoughts on it. Is it really that great of a game? Is it as good as Drake's Fortune? Should I get it? ***Just wanted to add incase anyone misunderstood. "I already have Uncharted"....

Well I haven't played Drakes yet, I plan to soon hopefully, but Assasins Creed is truly a great experience overall, it can get a little watered down here and there but overall I am glad to have experience and glad I own the game and I would definitely suggest the game to anyone.

it's a great game deffinetely a must buy!
you will probably feel rather annoyed with same missions over and over again but despite this fact the game will last longer than you think

If I were you, I'd rent it first (I wish I had). It started out as a fun game until you realize that it's extremely repetitive, the AI of the guards is almost non-existent, and the backstory of the game is atrocious. Check out my review of the game in my profile if you want a more detailed explanation. I sold the game 3 days after I bought it (and for those that'll say I didn't give it enough time, I beat the game before I sold it).

IMO it isn't. The repetitive gameplay ruins what could be an excelent game. Rent first.

Drake is a very great game man...ANYBODY that has a PS3 should get this. There are a lot of my 360 and Wii friends that wish they could play this game. We should be glad it's exclusive lol.

Drake is a great game, so is Assassin's Creed. Neither of them take long to beat, but both are very, very fun.

Assassin's Creed is repetitive if you want to complete everything from the first run, (I played like that until I also felt it was repetitive), but then took my time and did things differently.....if you go and first look over all the towers, then go and save all citizens in danger, then do all the.... ok you get the idea, that gets VERY repetitive, but if you take your time and mix missions up, you will enjoy the game...

both games were great experiences for me.

i actually just finished Assassin's Creed and loved the story. it was a methodical game and involved some cool elements. one of the more memorable game experiences i've had in a while.

Drake's Fortune is a lot of fun too. Visually the color and atmosphere is amazing. you'll be in good hands with either game.

I bought it at launch and exchanged it for Uncharted 3 days later, because I was completly done with it. Only thing I was missing was some useless flags.

Rent it, it will be a better deal. It's a good game, but has very poor value. It's very repetitive so you won't want to play again once you have everything. Uncharted has a better value.

AC is a good game, does some very new and cool things. but a must own?

no, your only going to play it once. i just beat is acually yesterday and i'm never going to touch that game again, glad i borrowed it from my friend :P so imo you should eihter borrow it from some one or rent it. if you truely love the game, buy it. But all in all AC is an average game, way over hyped and alittle bit overrated from GS standpoint. IT deserves the 7 that ign gave it.

Uncharted is just awesome, way better the AC. its alot short then AC yes but its story, presentation and replay value just kill it out of the water. Gameplay is also alot better then ACs, the combat in AC was so lame that i grew to hate "save the citizen" missions, AI are really stupid, lame characters etc. So to say, take all the bad things i said about AC and make them into possitive things. Thats what uncharteds like.

imo

AC = 7.5-8 (max)

Uncharted = 8.5 - 9

You have a lot more patience than I do. I was barely able to keep at it to the end. It's truly a case of a matter of personal preference. Glad to hear you enjoyed it though.
