I dont think so, because of the cliff-hanger ending and the bugs and glitches that are hidden in it, I'll be renting it but I dont see myself shelling out $60 on it.

I say yes... It gets a little repetitive, but its fun.. because what you are doing thats repetitive is insane and unlike most any other game... (slicing throats, and scaling builinds for example)...... Really fun game though.... Assassins Creed and Devil May Cry 4, are probably the only non-shooter ps3 games I will buy for about a year.

It is the best game I have ever played, with the deepest and most thought provoking ending in any game. People who are gonna respond to this and say that it's not true most likely didn't read all the emails, and did'nt realize what all the symbols at the end mean. If your confused, email me and I'll link to a site with all teh answers. In short, yes, best game I've played recently followed by Uncharted.

Definitely get it right away and turn the HUD off after about an hour. It makes everything more immersive and actually increases the length quite a bit. Ive invested a solid 15 hours so far and have only completed 3 main quests because I'm trying to get all view points, save all citizens, and kill all templars (screw the flag races).

Ive had the chance to play the first couple of hours in the game in I agree completely. It is the type of game (like Uncharted), which you want to take your time with. Like in a movie, you want to get to know the character(s) and experience what they go through. It means you would have to take your time with it, to get the best out of it. From what Ive played I liked it alot, completely unique to gaming to my opinion.

FvaFshX has a good suggetion. Turning off the hud would indeed make it even better. Didnt know that was an option!

Im the same as you, Im on my 4 assassination and I already have around 15 hours :D. I love touring around the cities and swordfighting, saving ppl, if you check, you can do that even after saving them, though they dont count as missions. Also getting all the view points, finding flags, killing templars. I have to say that the good outdoes the bad inmensely which is why I dont care if it freezes. And besides, there is a patch coming soon :D

Not worth it in my opinion. Boring, repetitive gameplay, braindead AI, and a lame sci-fi backdrop make it the biggest disappointment I've played in a long time. I really wanted to love it but it just didn't happen. Read my review of the game for more details if you want. I'd definitely rent it first.

ditto, I wasn't suprised on how bad the game was considering there weren't that much info (trailers/demo) on the game. Now i see why they decided not to have a demo... to limit exposure and ride the hype. The game is worth a rental, nothing more, but that's just my opinion.

I bought it from Fry's for 40 dollars. At the time, I felt it was a good deal. Yet, after beating it, I felt the story did not warrant keeping it... specifically, it seems like a Dan Brown novel, and was fairly buggy and problematic while playing. So I sold it for 45 on ebay. Overall, basically no net gain/loss thanks to tax/ebay selling fees, so I am happy.

The ending / symbolates displayed were rather fun and interesting, but I dont want to keep the game, especially since it would freeze whenever I would try to load a previous memory. Plus, if I really wanted to be provoked into thinking about something similar to the game, I would just go read something by Umberto Eco or another great author. The game lacked a lot of polish and didn't leave a great impression on me, compared to something like Xenosaga. However, I will rent the future sequels when they come out...

I thought the most interesting thing would be representations of historical spaces, but to be honest I dont feel they did a good job illustrating those spaces. Overall, the game seemed to be more of a "look we can have awesome animations, now let's tack on some story" than a game that sought to capture the hearts and minds of its populace rather than their wallets.

its a horrible game that i wasted money on. Its repetitve, boring, confusing and the story doesnt capture you. They spent 3 yrs making it but its still crappy and has so many flaws and bugs in the game. the game even freezes on you a lot. I traded it in for store credit and got ratchet and clank future and I love it. I say buy uncharted its way better than AC.

Bought and played it after long anticipation. Must say it almost felt like a tech demo than a game that features a solid story weaving through the gameplay. As a tech demo, it seems pretty impressive but that's it. The software ends there and the game really doesn't go very far. It has a lot of rough edges imo that seem like could've been addressed with another 6 months or so of development cycle. I'm still not sure if it would fix the lack of Real content since the designers didn't seem to have built the game around the content. Whatever content that exists is harshly scripted so I don't get the real "sandbox" feel from it but rather constricted in terms of what real impact I can make to the game world. Being able to climb the same kind of buildings over and over, killing, and running around has no impact on the game world whatsoever therefore, quite meaningless in the end. It can be fun for an hour or two.

Yeah the game is awesome, definitely worth a buy. Now only if they fix the freezing it would make the experience even better.

I've beaten this game and I loved every second of my 30+ hours playing it. It's so cool to walk around the city and stealth killing soldiers or taking on large groups or finding templars. The freedom is the best part - kind of like GTA. It depends on the type of gamer you are though
