It's Crytek.... If anything every other developer in the world is lazy. They still don't have a single GPU that can run Crysis at 1080p and 60 frames(locked).

Personally i think systems never deserve this game anyway. PC needs more good Pc only titles and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this does end up as just another lazy port. I enjoy playing my ps3 and xbox 360 sure but some things are better left where they started. I wouldnt dream of buying crisis 2 on a console anyway though My PC rig destroys my ps3 and 360 combined graphically, I just hope they dont have to tone down things or cut them out to keep the game the same on PC as it is for the consoles .

Quad core intel I7, 12 gig RAM , 2x nvidia gtx 480 sli and nothing great to play on it. Give us Diablo 3 now please !!

Nah Crytek take pride in their titles, its places like activision and EA that give developers deadlines and cause games to suck, then again Mafia 2 has no excuse... Xbox or ps3 version but mostly PS3 version.

I believe the PS3 is lead development for consoles. Don't quote me on this, i'm just assuming, since EA is sleeping with Sony apparently. lol

According to them, cryengine 3 allows them to develop simutaniously for all 3 systems and every system will have the best possible result. Now ASSUMING that due to various inferior looking games outhere on the ps3, that the reason is that ps3 is not that strong, then yeah it might look weaker than x360 and pc. But it will definetly not be because of porting. However the thing is that STILL, the best possible result can only be achived if they make the engine exclusivelly for ps3 rather simutaniously create the levels in all 3 systems.[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]It's Crytek.... I am going to say to you that there are multiplats far more demanding than crysis and for what it does crysis is actually quite optimized.

Nah, I think they will give us a quality port because it opens up more revenue for them.

Crysis 2 isn't a port. This game is built around each system's strengths from the ground up. Crysis 1 would be a port if now put on consoles.

It seems like your the only person in this thread who payed attention to the interviews with Crytec....because "NOW" I do recall that statement being stressed by the developers. lol
