I've been hearing mixed reviews about it, but I'm a pretty big GOW fan. I love the series, but I just wasn't sure since it's just a port from the PSP. I don't care about the 3D or any of that stuff, just the story and gameplay. If it's anything like the consoles, I'm guessing I won't be disappointed, but I just wanted to hear your opinion on it. I felt it didn't really hold up to the same standards as the console iterations of the game.The upgradedresolution doesn't hide the fact that thisis a handheld port.If your gonna play them they are probably best enjoyed on the psp. That's just my opinion and I'm a HUGE gow fan.
Edit: I wanted to add after rereading your post that the gameplay feels different to me as well.

You could order it off their website if you don't mind waiting a couple days to save 15 dollars.
I just finished both of them. And while I loved getting the "A Hero's Welcome" trophy O.o, they were kind of meh for GOW games. They didn't suck, they were just meh. I'd say they're probably worth 30 tops.
Considering you could have gotten it from Best Buy for $14.99... No, it's not worth $40.
I think that deal is dead. But whatever. I like these collections but I refuse to pay $40 for even the ones I'm most interested in. Even $30 is alot. I'm thinking more like $20 is my target price when most of them launch. They are just low budget remasters afterall.
I bought it for $25. Each game is like 4-5 hours. 10 hours of entertainment for $25 works for me. However, these are definately the easiest games of the series. I love GOW so I had to play these. They do give you a nice chunk of filler story and the games play great. If you did not play these on the PSP then it is a no-brainer. Go get it!
I paid 40 bucks for Shadow of the Colossus and I don't regret it one bit.
But I would not pay 40 for GOW. It was designed for handhelds and I feel it would work better if I put them on my PSP down the line.

It's impossible to regret buying Shadow. :P And to TC, even though you bought them already, there worth if you've never played the before, but the price will drop soon. I liked Chains more, beat GoS on my PSP two days ago and actually want to do the challenges.
if u never played the god of war 1,2,3 than play those ones. and even if u did i dont think its worth it because there really short since they orignally came from the PSP so i would wait until its like $25 - $30 at most
