Is GTA IV the greatest game of all time?

So that means its better then MGS, FF, GOW, GT, and jus about every single other game in existence.

I havent played it, just watched my friend play it for 2 hours on 360(he pre-ordered it for PS3, but it junked up on the pre-install and every time he tries to play it comes up saying he needs to do the pre-install, but when it attempts to do it, it says its already installed), and while its a good game(8.5 range) its not the greatest of all time, SA in my opinion was better for the time, and if anything GTA IV takes as many steps forward, as it does back(multiplayer is good, but lack of avatar creation or development sucks).

I think a large part of it's across the board love affair with game reviewers is it's incredible hype, and series history. Rockstar North took the game to a completely new level when compared to the other games, which were each beloved in their own right. I was bound to happen, and I assume it deserves all the credit given to it. Nonetheless, it is certainly not the greatest game of all time.

Regardless, I'm excited as HELL for it, and I'm waiting for it to come in the mail in the next day or two.
