is haze worth getting? i really wanted it before i saw all the reviews that pepople gave it so discouraging i really thought this game wasgonna kick ass.
If you liked the Timsplitters games most notably Timesplitters 2 then there's a high chance your gonna like HAZE. Because I can definitely feel a Timsplitters influence in HAZE. It feels more like a 7.0+ game instead of a 6.0 game. But I can understand why it rated so low because the game seems to like to freeze up sometimes and some things just feel kinda choppy. But it's still a fun game to play and I have been enjoying it.
i have the game and i really like it. i like it almost as much as uncharted. the reviews are b$. the ai is smart and they do hide and do dodge grenades. they must have played it on the easiest difficulty to say that.
im guessing the 2 people above me have never played it and only the demo. it gets alot better after the first level.starwarrior2
I was being sarcastic, to be honest yea i only played the demo, i aint going to judge a game based off a demo no matter if its crappy or not, ima try to rent it and test it out. soon.
At least give it a good rent .. I'm glad I did because this game is really fun .. no it isn't as good as COD4, but what game will come close to COD4? Not to many .. no not as good but the game is really fun .. the music, sounds, rumbles, intensity while on nectar .. definately give it a chance ..

It's a fun game. The graphics aren't mindblowing but Free Radical always know how to make a game FUN. Don't know what all the hate is about, but for some reason I think most of these kids are just saying it sucks because reviews say so, and they haven't even tried it themselves. If you like shooters give this game a shot. Just keep playing. It gets better and better.
Its not that Haze in unplayable. I think the problem is, when people play this game they are thinking, including me, is this really the game we waited SO long for? Its not like its the worse game on the console, but definately not the best. I would say a rent, tops.
The biggest problem is the timing for Haze more than whether its unplayable or not. It was supposed to come out last November. Well, COD4 came out, then Orange Box a month later, plus Uncharted. Who would really have picked up Haze last November? If they had put the game out in say February or even March, they might have had a shot. Haze could compete with R6V2 and Lost Planet. Instead, it is out in May stuck in the middle of another hit sandwich...GTA IV and Gran Turismo 5 prologue on one side...MGS4 and Battlefield Bad Company on the other. Should they have waited til Fall? With Socom Confrontation, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm 2, and Resistance 2 all out between mid Sept and mid Nov, Haze is again lost in the shuffle. I think Haze is truly a game that either needed to come out at launch, by July of last year, in the first 3 months of this year, or maybe wait til next year. It seems like it will be a decent game that just gets lost in the shuffle.

I have to admit, that I was one of a few people that actually thought Haze would be the PS3 "Halo Killer" even with all the bashing it took from other posters. I went out and bought the game Thursday morning and rushed home to play it with my son. We were both so pumped. After the manditory install, we were ready to tear it up. While I have to admit, the campaign mode is actually pretty decent, not quite CoD4 but better than UT III. Plus you can play single player co-op. The graphics and sound are not as bad as people have made them out to be, definitely better than any PS2 game. I really cant put my figure on it, but it just feels like there is something missing from the game. Maybe the fact that there is no button/opion to run other than using your Nector that makes the game feel rediculously slow at times. As for the the online aspect of the game, pretty much the same thing, it feels way to slow for my liking. Again, with no option to sprint or run. I also have UT III and it took me awhile to get into that game as well, didn't initally care for it, but over time it kind of grew on me and now I love it. Maybe Haze will be the same way. As I know the store I bought it from won't take it back unless its damaged. I would say to anyone on the fence about Haze to go out and rent the game first, then make your opinions on if its for you or not.
I have not played the game but I would say that from just a reasoning standpoint, Haze may not be a bad game. But it's probably not anything special either. What you could have is a good shooter sitting on the shelf surrounded by great ones so the imposed value of Haze seems lower by comparison.
I'd say if you have an interest in shooters, you'll probably at least get a kick out of the game if you rented it. Even if you don't like it you're out what, like 5 bucks?

People always give some bad reviews but Haze is still one of the best games i have right now and it is totally worth getting

I haven't played it (yet). Might try the demo, although it doesn't look much different from all the other FPSes.
