I don't know why Home keeps getting compared to Sims and Second Life. Home is not a game. It is the embodiment or personification of an online community. Think XBL or MySpace in a "real" virtual space.

Secondlife isn't a game either... It's like XBL and myspace in virtual space... You can build your own island, stores, etc... Just it can be fun to build that stuff. It's second life on a lowered scale.
I got the first SIms when it came out and the LIvin Large expansion pack, after that it just got ridiculous, i mean if they were to finally make a sims game that was more realistic and not be followed up by half a dozen expansion packs i would definetly buy it, how anyone thinks that HOME could kill sims is just being ridiculous.
LOL, no. The SIMS developed artificial human interaction with different AI, which became a milestone in future video games (yes, the SIMS influenced the video game industry in many ways people never realized). HOME is interacting with real people cloaked in their own avatar, so the two aren't shouldn't even be compared to each other.

you mean sims 2? home is rubbish, i dont get how anyone can be excited about this? it looks dull, its not going to really capture the imagiation, and half of the people wont be talking because they dont have a mic.

Keepin it real with 64 people to a lobby emoting the hell out of each other.
Plus, you know, The Sims is basically a PC game and Home isn't. So even if every single person with a PS3 stops playing The Sims it won't make much difference.
