I was wondering since i was planning to buy it in the next month, but now i hesitate a bit because of those rumor about a price drop around the E3 and the coming back of the rumble features (not that i really need rumble but i like heav controller, i really didn't like the first ps1 pad... was to light). Also when i buy the ps3 i plan to buy two controller and i wouldn't like to see another controller (more adapted to my needs) on the market after a short while...
I think sony should announce as soon as possible (maybe not wait till the E3) what's up with the rumble features because i know i'm not the only one worried about buying something and seeing such features added after only a few months...

Unless you really want to play Ninja Gaiden, you can wait until the end of the summer. Best games are coming in Fall, so you want it before then. Get your wallet fat as well, since there's so many great games just waiting to be released.

there may or may not be a price drop, but if you look around now there are plenty of deals that can save you a bit of money.  as for the controller, if its the shape you dont like, logitech has a nice third party controller, if your worried about not getting a controller with the latest features, i expect the only extra feature will be rumble, (you could buy a ps3 now and get a second controller with rumble i suppose), but if you want rumble right away, it might be worth waiting.  if your worried about games, there are plenty of good games coming out towards the end of the year and next year (haze, uncharted: drake's fortune, burnout paradise etc), but in my oppinion, there are enough good games to keep you going until then (motorstorm, resistance: fall of man, oblivion etc).

In fact my biggest worries was about the controlle and it's weight... the rumble features i don't really care since i have it on my ps2 and i can't remember having felt it... and the shape i like it.. the ps1,2,3 are quite the same and it's good since it's the perfect pad...as for price drop... there's always be some so... can't always wait.

I wouldn't agree. Sure playing a PS3 in HD is awesome, but it is worth it SD. I was about to get a nice big 1080p TV for 3000$ 2 months ago, but it turns out I had to buy a new car just before so I still don't have my kick ass TV, but I still enjoy my PS3 without it.

price drop will probably be 50 bucks and not till xmas. so it's up to you. it's always a great time to own a PS3 lol. now that the games are about to start rolling in (starting June 25th) it's a good time to get on board.

you can knock motorstorm and resistance out and oblivion if you haven't played that. those 3 games alone will get you through a couple months not to mention the other games this month (Rainbow 6 Vegas, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and the Darkness or The Bigs).

so simple answer: YES.:D

I am sorry...I don't really understand the question.

Is there a bad time to buy a PS3????

Give your head a shake...kind of a LAME question to ask in the PS3 forum.  Most of us here already own one and enjoy it.  I read your post history and it seems all you have done so far is question the system in the forums.  There are thousands of articles out there for you to read on your own.  They review everything from all the specs right down to the color.

Yes I believe it is The games are starting to roll in. This Summer will be the Best. Resistance Fall of Man is one of the Best FPS I have played since Halo1. (I didn't like the Halo2 Story) Call of Duty 3 is another great FPS. MotoStorm is Amazing especially in the In Car View. (Most Underrated game in my opinion) This summer all of the Sports franchises will get the 2nd Year updates. Also, Sony is talking about removing the PS2/PS1 Compatibility Chip in the Near future for the US Version. While the Software solution they have is running 75% of the games vs the 10% that my Stupid 360 runs, It is still nice to be able to Buy any PS2 game and be reasonably assured it will run. The PS3 Hardware Compatibility Solution Runs 99%. So if Backwards Compatibility is important to you then Now is time for sure.
