There was a guy who left his PS3 on for a month strait no problems. he was hosting a hacker contest. he had linux running on the PS3. the deal was if any one could hack it they win the PS3 with like 250 gig HDD. No one was able to hack it.

I haven't turned mine off for months. Running Folding@Home 24/7 when not playing games. It gets rebooted for updates though but that doesn't count.

a topic like this was posted several months ago and a lot of people said they left their ps3 running for days and sometimes weeks, but nothing happened. BTW, this is not a 360, this is a ps3, this is SONY.

True that, PS3 is built tough, and it seems to be able to take a heck of alot of abuse. But even so, I wouldn't make it a habit of keeping it on at all times. It's bad practice and will eventually catch up with the system If you plan on keeping it for a long time.

You can leave it on for unlimited time basically...

I'm sorry I can't provide a link, but I'm bit lazy today, so I'll just keep it to what I've read.. and I'm sure you can look it up and back it up as well.. The Folding@home project manager or similiar, told that they had done several stability test to ensure that users wouldn't end up breaking their ps3.. and they said under the load Folding@home does, they had some running for months without any issue..

So to answer your question.. Yes it wouldn't be a problem :).. May I ask why? :-)

Ya, it's fine. It's not the X Box 360. Sometimes I forget to turn it off...it's so quiet.
