Really repetitive and gets boring fast. I've gone through 3 assassinations and its the same thing everytime....Start at the headquarters, go to a city, do view points, help citizens (which doesn't do anything really), pickpocket someone, eaves drop someone, maybe interrogate someone, then go to the bureau and get the feather then kill the person. Seems like a alot to do and wouldnt get boring but you find out that you are doing the same thing you did the last assissination. Can anyone tell me if it changes/mixes up in the later assassinations or should i just trade it in now for Drake Fortune.

I understand why reviewers gave it a 9/10, because the graphics are nice and the environment is basically completely interactive and is a step forward for all games like this.

But the repetitivenessgets to you.

I have stated why I don't agree with the "it's repetitive" thing numerous times. I think it's just you in my case because I love this game.

I liked it up until about the sixth assassination. Thats when the repetition sort of killed it for me. Its still a good game though.

yes it's repetitive, but that does not equal boring, at least not to me. and saving citizens can help u a lot. when ur being chased bya lot of guards, just run past ur vigilantes and that will help break ur line of sight and u can become annonymous again

The repetitive label has scared me away as well.

Was trying to choose between this and COD4.

Probably opting for COD4 tomorrow unless lightning strikes with something different.

I too accept the repetitve argument, but honestly, the only gripe I had was the damn freezing issue; and since that has been fixed, I am having a blast just screwing around and trying different approaches to killing guards and Templars.

I would at least give it a rent, or find a friend that has it for either console and give it a small test drive.

Yea, the game is really repetitive. This game could have been game of the year, but the investigation missions and bugs hold it back. It's a good, but not great game.

Well, it is a bit repetitive, but not that much really.

Saving citizens in an option, no one is forcing you to do it and each time you eavesdrop or pickpocket there is a interesting and well done conversation. Try actually listening to the story and the purpose of your victims assassination. There is a great role of excellent story behind everything you do.

God forbid if games are bit more then point a gun and click..

I personally loved climbing towers, or walking in the living cities while gathering information about the next victim.

The game is not meant to fly through as most inpatient gamers do. It's a great game. Try taking some breaks between missions.

Again, I agree that it's a little repetitive, but that's no where the reason to pass this great game as it offers a lot and being great while doing so.

yes the game is repetitive. why are people sayying its not.....because the spent £50 on it and are trying to justify their purchase. the "free running" is flat out fun, and innovative, everything else in the game is boring and reptitive. plus the story is damn rubbish.

at least they tried something new and attempted to create a game that can be labelled as next gen. if there was more variety and a better story that would have made the game perfect.

they should make a game where ur family was slaughtered when u were a childby a ruthless king and its up to u on how u go about ur redemption. pick off people one by one or just go head on. spend as much time on hand to hand combat as u do stealth.

I lasted until the third assassination. Then it got to boring/repetitive to continue. IMO, waste of 60 bucks.

I don't mind the repetiveness of the game. It's a game, lots of good games repeat themselves, I'm used to it. What bothers me most about this game is the reviews it got, I honestly don't undertand how it was so ground breaking and how it did so well with just about every reviewer. That's where I'm missing something, I like the game, I have fun playing it, but I have no idea why people find it so special.

Its worth a rental. This game has probably the best story of any video game this year. I agree it gets repetive and they screw the end of the game up a little. Everyone should play and finish this game. The game makes you think about how religon isman made.

I lost all interest after the hour and a half beginning of the game that was not interesting at all because it was all just sitting and listening to everyone you talk to lecture about nothing...

Most people think I'm crazy when I say this but I think Assassins Creed is one of the worst games I have ever played when you look at the hype it had coming out and the actual final product was so bad...

You are kidding me right? Did you finish the game? I doubt it. There is alot of depth to the story, if you can't see that you are blind my friend. And next time you critisize me learn how to type.

Do you mean it's deep in that every time you talk to the Professor you are lectured for a half an hour and nothing of stubstance comes from it? I don't mean to flame you, I just honestly can't see how someone can say this game had the best story for a game this year... Especially when a game like Bioshock has come out in the same year.

So how long before this game falls into the "what was that game called again" category. I think because of the hype, it will take longer than like a Lost Planet or something. But I do think it will reach the "What was that game called again" point eventially.

Agree with everything but the story does not make since. How come people don't like the story? It makes alot of since. I cant go into details explaining it because of spoilers, but I thought it was brilliant.

Everytime I hear Assassin's Creed, repetitive is in the same sentence. I still don't see how this game is repetitive. I mean this game IS considered an open world style of game. If doing missions is boring, do something else, theres a TON of other things to do besides the assassinations. And for those who don't understand the story or think it sucks, you just don't know what kind of history was involved. Do a search on the Freemasons, Templar Knights or the Holy Crusades, read up on it, and the story will make sense. In my opinion, AC has an excellent story and makes perfect sense.

Its not just you. I can't even finish this game because of how boring it actually is. The cities all look the same, the saved citizens say the same thing, the story reminds me of some educational video I was forced to watch in school, and the A.I. and fighting system is seriously flawed. Do not buy this game and if you get it for a gift don't open it, just return it for COD4 or Uncharted. This game is a shame, it truly is.

QFT, what kind of open-world game ends once you kill the last guy? In GTA you could still explore and do whatever you wanted long after you finished the story. It would add some replay value if you could actually do that in AC, however, YOU CAN'T! People that defend this game are just in denial because they were so hyped about it and they spent their hard earned cash on it. I bought it too but I will be the first to say that it isn't what it claims to be. Rent it first, I beg of you.

I loved this game! To get the most of it, don't just do the bare minimun to get to the assassination memory. Doing that just cheats yourself out of gameplay. I played through it with the mindset that I was going to finish every dang event before the assassination, and I had a blast. Near endgame with all your gear you are an unstoppable bad*ss taking on like 10 guards at the same time. You just have to get in character for the game, some people just can't seem to though. Its their loss really.

the game is fun...3 misions in isn't anything. the further u go u get more weapons and fighting techniques, just more fun. yes u are doing the same thing over and over but it's not like you can't enjoy what you're doing....besides the sitting on the bench spying BS.

I LOVE THIS GAME, PERIOD!

That having been said, yes, it is quite repetitive, and no, the tsks really don't change up that much. This is a game that you enjoy if you like running around looking at and experiencing the game environment for the sake of looking rather than having some extra tasks or goals to force you to look around. I love history though, so I like the game.

I like to play it every few days, then it doesn't feel as repetitive, but as one of the other posters said, if you really get into the story, it is very interesting.

total shame coz it could and should have been the best game ever, it should have been set out the same way oblivion was,a whole continent withcities all over the place with 30 hours+ gameplay, the game was rushed in my eyesDawson82

I've yet to play AC, but I find it rather funny how loosely people use the term, "there's a 'TON' of things to do". If there's a game where this remark holds true, it's Oblivion.

Same happened to me, but it happened when I was at the 8th assassination. Overall it is a beautiful game, but it needed more focus on the missions, I thought that this game was going to be kinda like Oblivion, but it turned to be even more repetitive than the voice actors of Oblivion.

I have stated why I don't agree with the "it's repetitive" thing numerous times. I think it's just you in my case because I love this game.Liquid-Prince
same here :), kind of ironic because there have been so many repetitive topics about this lol.
