That and I've seen a dozen topics in other forums of lemmings scared cuz of home  Honestly, Sony didn't do anything special..they just did what we have known they were gonna do all along...play the game like champs. I'm really impressed by reverse hyping though. First they over hype Killzone 2...knowing it would be dificult to achieve that level of realism so soon they underhype it...making people go boooh..then when it comes out and blows us away people will say YAYAYAYA! lol fricken geniusNextGenNow

noticing in video on reaction from all the developershtijerina10It is you,but they had another chance to show people what to look forward on the ps3.But then again they showed us what to forward to back at e3 and we still aint seen anything big yet.
Well we havent seen the other companies so just have to wait to answer that question, but if no other huge announcments are made from other companies then yes sony did rule gdc.finalfantasy94well MS had their on Tuesday and I do believe Nins is Thursday and they better have a miracle planned because Sony delivered today.

guys, guys... guys. I think that we can all agree that... Phil... is a God!!!

It's you. Sony just detonated itself at GDC. Where is the revised (and much needed) user interface for the store and the dashboard. The controller isn't a PC mouse, for the love of God, Sony take a cue from Microsoft and let us navigate the dashboard w/ the frickin' D-Pad.
Obviously, alot of you guys have never experienced the 360's USER FRIENDLY interface or Live service because the PS3's interface sucks by comparison. Using a phone keypad, instead of a keyboard interface, to create messages is frustrating and idiotic.
PS Home may go over big in Japan, but they also still love Britney Spears. Of course, if you get off on the Sims series then this is your nirvana.
This update is so amazing that we have to wait until a small number of Euros get their PS3's at launch (March 23rd) before we can download it.
And would Sony please just charge us $40 to $60 a year for their internet service so we can get some results. Sony truly is a hardware company & Microsoft is a software company. If only I couild get Microsoft's software to run on Sony's hardware?
Have any riends on live? Hmmm? I'll bet you got a pal or two you kill the bad guys with. Gears clan or maybe an upcomng Halo 3 friend or two? What if I was your buddy and I said geez man..we've been snipin on CoD3 and talkin smack for 2 hours! It's a friday so I got the night what you wanna do? Well lets go home and chill for awhile..So you go there catch a movie at the theatre (REAL MOVIE) or perhaps you go to "his" place or "your" place and listen to music while you two play poker, pool, heck you can watch a movie on his tv (REAL MOVIE). Maybe you guys wuld like to go fishin and relax from the hectic firefights before you jump right back in? Chattin in real time on your headsets the whole time. Ya see, though you laugh now...with a Sony consoles user base normally ending at about 130 million sold...Home could havea nation sized following. It's you. Sony just detonated itself at GDC. GDS stands for Game Developers Conference, I don't think developers give a flying feck about next-gen mind-blowing games from their sister or rival company, they attended the conference because they're more interested in learning more about features of the console and how they could implement and take full advantage of those features in their own line of work. It's you. Yeah, you are right. That's why games like Mass Effect were shown off during the conference, because fellow developers aren't interested in games. And with the extensive media coverage of the conference, no company would actually want to show off their games. I can't really argue on the topic of "Home" without being labeled as a fanboy, so there's not any point to continue. My personal opinion is that its an obvious gimmick. You buy the $600 dollar console for the games, thats all I'm saying. It's you. Sony just detonated itself at GDC. Where is the revised (and much needed) user interface for the store and the dashboard. Hey jag off, I own both the 360 & PS3. I'm currently playing just my PS3 (Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken, Ridge Racer, GT HD, several Blu-Rays, etc.). I'm in the bottom half of the top 100 high scores in Q-Bert. You know the game people **** about being so hard. TALISMANJ ranked #87 as of this posting.
Sony's hardware i.e. controllers w/ blue tooth, HDMI output and build quality of console exceed the 360 by leaps and bounds (Hence, Sony is truly a hardware company). Sony's origins are rooted in hardware systems, see televisions.
The 360's interface i.e. Live, friends list, ease of use, etc exceed the PS3 by leaps and bounds (Hence, Microsoft is truly a software company). Microsoft's origins are rooted in software i.e. operating systems, ask IBM. By the way the use of "software" is meant to denote their console's operating system not their games. You know like Windows Vista is software not hardware.
Like I wrote previously, if only I could get Microsoft's software to run on Sony's hardware. PS3 and the 360 have great games in the pipeline. I support both by actually buying their products not by spouting off on game forums.
I agree w/ lockjaw333, where are the games. Microsoft & Nintendo had games to show at the GDC. I want games to play in 1080P and a decent operating system/interface for the PS3 not some place for nerds to gather.
The Sony keynote is amazing, I am just completly amazed at Home. And i am definatly buying LittleBigPlanet, its so simple but yet so fun. Kinda like Super Mario Bros. But you can make your own lever, and you can smack other players.MetalHead_PS3
It was Sony's finest GDC keynote, K*taku did there best to ruin this year's GDC for Sony but what they didn't realize was that Sony had another gem in there pocket LittleBigPlanet.dancinapsUgh, you fanboys are unbearable. All kotaku did was release something they thought to be true and would be interesting as news. If every news agency didn't release information based on company's requests we wouldn't actually have news agencies anymore. You all make yourselves out to be some sort of pariah on a holy mission. Not everyone is out to get you and your precious system. Get over it.
This was a DEVELOPER'S conference.
And you know what? All those developers were clapping and shouting with glee.
**THEY** were happy about it and thought Sony RULED.
If you wish to go tell the developers they are wrong FINE.
Go do that. Prove you are a nutcase.
Otherwise Sony ruled GDC. End of story.

well... this is something ive just thought about, but HOME seems like kind of a random thing to totally announce at a DEVELOPERS conference...The reson they showed Home is bercause they want to expand it and make it the way they dreamed. So if they don't get developers inot thinking that its essential for gamers and easy to do. Then they won't put anything in and the world wont expand.
it may ensure developers that sony is concerned and focused on online capabilities...
but seeing as its a DEVELOPERS conference... it seems they should be relying more on the PSEDGE for their keynote. ... but maybe im loony.

well... this is something ive just thought about, but HOME seems like kind of a random thing to totally announce at a DEVELOPERS conference...Its was actually the best thing they could have announced seeing as home runs because Devs support it. What home will do is unleash a completely new form of advertising for each dev. And it allows them to show off their stuff in their own 3D room. As well as create their own custom tshirts for their games so people in home are walking billboards.

It so interesting that people who just live to bash things come and act all high & mighty and label others for something they're doing in a process of proving their points. It always amuses me when people try to discredit someone by the use of pity name calling technique, some of you should just apply for a job in the white house I bet they would love to have you on board .
amen! many magazines interviewed phil trying to get phil to crack under the ps3's short comings and some mocked the console. but phil kept his cool didn't get a fake tattoo with home on it, or bash other systems. his confidence is now justifeid. remember all the magazines and other media revealing theyre true colors by declarin e3 wii3? Well gdc belongs to us!!! wii(LoL) took many potshots at us and stood by the ps3, this is our reward. i can't wait for home and little big planet. wii will rock you is dead!!! cuz microsoft and nintendo didn't just get played, they got played beyond!!!guys, guys... guys.
