Is it me or the online multiplayer of Resistance is crap ?

Honestly the online multiplayer of Resistance is probably the first and only shooter that i truly suck at. Okay so i just started playing for the first time but hell, never i have had my ass owned like that before, i can consider a good run when i can have a higher K/D ratio of 1/2... I used to play COD4 but got tired so i put the resistance cd in there to have a change. I'm very good at COD4 always have a K/D of 3/1, so i don't know what the **** is up with this game....

For some reason everyone is running/moving faster then me, some dude from my team out run me like there was no tomorrow... And also it takes about an entire clip of machine gun to kill someone when i die in freakin 3 shots is that normal ??????

Now since i would like to get Resisntance 2 i would like someone to give me some tips or anything to help me out a little before i completly forget about this game and never touch it again...So if anyone can answer the question i asked earlier and give me some tips, it will be greatly appreciated.

Resistance came out at PS3's launch. Don't expect it to compete with COD4.

I can't enjoy Resistance's multiplayer either because it got old for me.

It takes getting used to. Fresh out of playing Battlefield, I was not used to it and spent an entire free-for-all match with zero kills. I didn't like the controls, wasn't used to the walls beside me getting destroyed and felt that it took way too much to kill someone. But I played a few more matches and I got used to it. it does take a lot to kill someone, but it's not that hard. Esspecially if they're in a shoot out and you can sneak up behind the winner of that shoot out and annialate him.

Well i always have a ****load of assits, i mean i know i hit the guy 'cause there's blood everywhere, but man come on, i hit him like 10 times and he still moves, and get touch by anything 3-4 times i'm toasted.

after i hit supreme commander i kinda got bored of it.

remember its an old game so most people online are diehard fans that will kick your ass

I think that depends on the type of gun you're carrying. I'm betting that some guns have more fire power, quicker firing speed etc...

Yeah true, it's just that i don't have that many games to play, 4 to be exact, and only 2 of them have online... and i don't have much excitement playing cod4 anymore so you know, might as well try resistance. I played it again in the first place to get the skill points i was missing and intel files, and when it was done i said to myself might as well try the multi.

I guess the step from Cod4 to this is too much, COD4 is so much better in everyway, makes me wish i played Resistance when it came out....

well if you havent beat superhuman yet do so because its really good training. Also learn the maps, know were the 40mm rockets for your carbine is and the rocket launcher. When your a Chimera use the weapon your givin and tag the enemy (L1) then all your bullets will go straight to were you tagged him. (aim at the floor, hold L1, back up and shoot to make a tag bomb. When a enemy walks into the room hit em with a tag and instant kill.

also if your having a hard time in close range combat either get the shotty and unload on everyone or get a sniper rifle and hide.

There are many things that you need to know about resistance.

1.L2 is sprint

2.Always join a squad (Press start and change squads)

3.The more you play the better it gets.I didnt get into it until about 9000 kills in.

4.A good clan is nedded to keep the game fun.

5.Chimera are better than humans so dont be surprised if you get owned as a human.

6.For noobs, use the L1 button to tag an enemy and the bullets will follow him.

Those are the basics, the rest is experience
