No. They're trophies to show your accomplishments, not bargaining tools.
Are you reffering to MS points? The currency of the Live Marketplace? Achievement points are just a (somewhat nonsense) point system assigned to achieving certain goals within a game, they cannot be spent on anything for purchases (such as games online). Achievement points just add to your gamer score, which is the sum total of all achievement points earned in all games. MS Points, on the other hand, are bought with real money than spent in the marketplace, and are seperate from achievement points.
In this way, when Home hits Sony will get Trophies, which are Sony's answer to Achievements. Sony has the "wallet" in the store, which is the Sonyequivalentto MS Points, and is how we purchase stuff off the online store.
Hopefully I'm not barking up the wrong tree here, but that's how I understood the question.
I think he means "Will Sony add the equivelment of Microsoft Points to PSN??"simo__93_
On a personal note, I think that from a marketing standpoint a point system was genius. From the consumer stand point, they drove me nuts as a consumer (when I owned the system). For the same reason, it's hard to tell how much you're truly spending. I greatly prefer the system employed by Sony for their own store (eg: a real currency!) Case in point, I really hope Sony never adopts that system. *fingers crossed*:P
oh.. but i think if we can buy those points, it would be better.. cuz as i was saying, some people hv no store for their country, besides some people don't hv credit cards. this way will give everybody on the globe the chance to buy off any store.. am i right? Are you reffering to MS points? the MS points thing is rediculous. I like being told how much actual money I'm going to be spending. I think acheivement points are stupid as well. Just play the dang game and have fun. If you feel you haven't gotten everything out of it, play it again. Life = 1 / Achievement Points. oh... yeah, and I completely agree with you :)
i think he means is there a way to get funds on to your acount without using a credit card? well sony are releasing PSN cards soon in certain amounts, theyre already released in japan. they work like iTunes store cards, you get a code on the card, and you enter it on the ps3 and the amount is added to your wallet :)bihboy69That's great! Thanks. I think my (our) problem will be solved soon!! :)

It looks good, but from what I have seen the trophies and all the other things they have shown the public do not exist.

That's because the Home Beta (Key word: beta) doesn't have all the features of Home. When Home comes out next month it will.

Yeah, it's a great idea from a marketing stand point but a horrible idea for consumers :P.
