This shows that the PS3 is a good piece of hardware. They were putting it under a lot of pressure. Pretty interesting. Makes me feel good knowing it wont break.Chaos_Bladezstress testing :)
pretty interesting, and good news for ps3 owners. before I went to the link to read the article I was thinking of a way to destroy the ps3 that happened to be exactly what was depicted in the photo at the end.gitonMe too. Smash My PS3 is where that comes from. Its funny if you havent seen it.
haha
i just find it funny that people are trying to break down the ps3 whereas people are trying to find a way to keep the 360 from getting the red ring of death
Very good read. They tossed it in a freezer van and a suana and it's still running fine now. That's a nice peice of hardware. I'm not really scared to leave mine on overnight, but won't leaving it on for extended periods of time dimish it's last time?
[QUOTE="king_of_metal"]I know a way to destroy it. When it's updating, unplug it before it finishes.giton
just wondering... have you tried that to confirm the effect?
No. Everyone knows that causes a brick.I'm actually pretty amazed and no longer scared of running my ps3 for over 5 hours, let alone 108TheTennMe too. They put that PS3 through hell and back. I wonder what it did to deserve that? It makes me feel good that I can trust it a lot.
I would like to see this done again, but documented a little better. Some video as well to go along with it.
Maybe we can get Sony to ship one to us free of charge so that we can run some tests :P
Wow!
What person would smash the PS3?!?!?! :o

Smash My PS3 is where that comes from. Its funny if you havent seen it. Go to this site or go to youtube and watch it. Those guys go on launch day for all of the 3 consoles and smash it in front of everyone. They also had an iPod one. On a side note, they actually make money because people donate it to see the stuff smashed.

To put that in perspective, here's a story from a while back of what happens when you put a PS3 and Xbox 360 in a closed space together

Wow that sucks. Good find. I havent read that before.10 ways to kill a PS3
link broken yalls.The_TomboSince it doesnt work, they basically let a PS3 run for 108 hours straight in a sauna 100 degrees Celsius and in a 0 degrees Celsius area and in a normal area (I dont know if it was 108 hours in each place or all 3 combined). It never failed. Thats pretty cool. I dont remember everything about the link but if it comes up tommorow, check it out.
