Wow... that sucks. I'd be so angry if I had that. Anyway, a DS would probably be more suited if you can only use one hand. There are many games out there that are completely touch screen based (like Zelda Phantom Hourglass) or just need minimal button input. A PSP could also work, but you need pretty big hands for that. And you could block the screen of course. I guess it depends on the type of games you play. If you play games that aren't too heavy on the action, it's OK. But overall, I'd recommend the DS more.

DS would be suited for your condition, most games can be played entirely by tapping the lower screen with the stylus.

DS is possible.

I usually multitask, and I frequently play Zelda and FFIII one handed.

Movement and attacks are made via touch pad in Zelda. The only time you need to use the Dpad is when you want to open inventory.

FFIII, the touchpad can be used for combat and it is turn base combat. You will have to free roam using the Dpad.

I cannot remember if Trauma Center uses the Dpad, all of the surgery stuff is done via touchpad.

Not sure about PSP, I am still waiting for Best Buy to get the black slim in. Any one tried playing FFI or FFII on PSP one handed?

I hope this works out for you.

Rpgs could work, although they require the use of both sides of the psps, most like Final Fantasy Tactics, don't have fast paced action that require both hands at once. you could probabley just set it on a table, might be alittle frustrating. idk just an idea.

Probably the DS would be a good choice, I'm sure there are some good RPG/Strategy games you would totally pwn. Here's another suggestion for you: I used to map keyboard functions to my 8 button mouse to play half life 2, battlefield 2 and counterstrike source one handed while my baby daughter slept on my shoulder. After some practice I was doing pretty good.

ya the DS has alot of games that are mainly touch based and are really good like zelda, meteos, kircies canvas curse, advance wars, animal crossing, FF3, chocobo tales, those are the main ones that come to mind but i eat cereal or whatever and play my DS with one like that all the time. i just set it on the table and loom over it like a magazine. ninja gaiden will be touch based bt thats not out yet.

For the DS, its definitely possible.Zelda : Phantom Hourglass can prove this.

As for the PSP, maybe a game like Jeanne D'Arc can be played with one hand.

The Nintendo DS is definately better suited to one handed play. Also, you should definately buy a Hori Play Stand. Basically, what it does is that it holds up the ds for you. Look it up and buy one. I bought one and I love it and if your only going to be using one hand, it is most definately a must have item.

There are several great games on the ds as well that can be played well with only one hand. I got to go now, but if you want more information on the hori play stand or on games you can play well with only one hand, pm me.
