Is it possible to send someone a save state through attachments in messages? My cousin bought a ps3 but it didnt get to him yet so we can't test it atm.
I know you can back up your saved game data to a usb hd/flash drive or other storage media if you have to 60gb model. Then you could attach that file to an email and send it that way. Should work but I haven't tried it myself.

If you put the saved data on a usb drive it will work other than that i believe that is the only way
