Because I play my PS3 on my SDTV which is 480i but I want to try out the Heavenly Sword demo on my Projection TV but they say not to play games on Projection because it can shorten the lifespan of the lamp and it could like damage the screen or something along those lines.

I'm really not sure. I have been playing my PS3 on a projection TV and everything has been working fine. I really dont have alot to worry about because it has a 5 year warranty so I should be good for a while, even if the bulb blows up.

It is safe. Games do not wear on the LCD rear projection bulbs any more than any other video.

Are you sure. Because I've had my Rear LCD projection for a year and a half and the bulb broke like a month ago and we got a new one. Also I just was wondering because I didn't want to wear out the lamp. And the bulb costs like 215 dollars no problem though. Also its a Toshiba.

I say if you have money, go out and buy a little 20" LCD flatpanel TV just for gaming. That way you don't have to worry about it. You have changed the bulb within a year and half though? I thought these should last like 4-5 years minimum.

If it breaks, it's due to defect or overuse in general, not because you are playing games in particular.

Yeah, mine broke already and the TV is only a year old. I was told by the guy at the warehouse when I went to get the new one that they had some problems with that type of bulb but that they fixed the problem and the one I have now shouldn't have any problems.

Cool. I'm going to call Sony and the Toshiba company just to make sure so that I know that I can play games on it.
