Sounds pretty stupid to me, does your friend not have an online account on the 360?
Thats what my friend does, he doesn't want to pay for a gold account so he just buys the games on PS3 to play online.

No he has an xbox live account but his excuse for buying both is that you get a diffrent feel for the game on each system????
he actually won the system in a raffle, decided to try it. He's a sony loyalist to some extent and anyway he says that he just likes playing better on the PS3. I keep telling him to sell it but he's kinda loaded so he doesn't really have any reason to.
The only case where I could understand buying the same game for multiple systems is if one had extras that the other didn't. Otherwise, that's just...kind of dumb, unless you have an unlimited supply of money to throw away on whatever you want.
Thats a bit extreme, I would never buy two copies of a game for different systems. He should just rent one of the games with the extra content instead of buying it if he truly wants to experience the games on a different platform. Such a waste of money.
I can tell he's probably one of them people that'll be in so much debt by the time he's older it'll take him years to get out of it and then he's gonna wish he never spent all that money on 2 of the same games.

Funny people go on here and chat about which system is the best - with all their beliefs and thoughts and crap. Here is a guy that OWNS both systems and BUYS both games - clearly that would allow him to experience which is the better to him......what is wrong with that if you have the money? Then once you decide you just keep the one system. But the rest of you go back to argue what you THINK MAY be the better system........
i would call it stupid but thats his choice, i myself was gonna buy saints row on ps3 even tho i allready beat it on my bros 360, simply because i oved the game, and we are both gettin GTA IV for our systems, so i can kinda see why with certian games how their just so much fun you wanna run thru them again on another system, stuff like madden and vega tho i wouldnt ever buy more then once, hell im not buyin them the first time anyway
It sure is stupid. Your friend should just stick with the PS3 versions coz SONY totally pwns microsoft. Why does your friend even buy the xbox version if he will be buying the PS3 versions? Really, your friend should just sell his xbox.

I would rent the 360 version to get all of the achievements and give back to blockbuster.
And buy the PS3 version if I really like the game.
This is because I don't trust my 360, because it breaks every 2 months. The worst thing is buying a game and can't play it because your 360 is getting repaired for 3 weeks.Â
