Hi i was woundering if it's a good time to buy a Playstation. I've been saving up for quite some time and i will have enough money to buy a Playstation in early 2011 that's not too late to get one is it because im only 14 and if the Ps4 comes out i wont have a coin left to get that. Thanks ...
Thanks for the advice and i will check out that website but i already know all the games on Ps3 my brother has a Ps3 and loads of Great games such as Infamous, Fallout NV, Uncharted among thieves but it's all limited to me so i dont get to spend time on games like Fallout and other great titles. Do you think it will be released that early i mean look how long Ps2 has been around.
If you have friends that also own a PS3, go for it. We don't know the exact release of the PS4, and the PS3's production of games is not going to slow down soon. A good amount of friends that have the console as well is important becasue it allows for a much, much better mulitplayer experience.

Go for it - you won't regret it. Although if you plan to finish school, you may want to give it a pass. If I had this system and these games when I was 14, I couldn't see myself having any desire to go to school.

Don't use the site. Its rumors with hardly any evidence to back it up other than... other rumors. It says ps5 and ps6 is being developed as well which contridcits the theroy it made about sony 6 years plan. Beside move just came out so PS4 isn't gonna be release for a while
Bear in mind there is no official release date for the PS4, and that whenever a date becomes available sony will almost certainly defer the launch. Separately, the introduction of the PS3 affirmed that sony will not necessarily aim for a simultaneous launch across all countries, and that hardware distinctions may be apparent. The premium you would then pay for purchasing a console during its release window is something you would need to factor in, together with the limited availabilty of software generally. Additionally, whilst previous cycles have been consistent in terms of when hardware was released, its arguable that the PS3 has lead sony to be more cautious in its approach and that this generation will be longer as a result, particularly in view of the economy generally. The strongest flaw in your approach, however, is that you're viewing the PS3 as "just" a games console ...... it isn't.
Now would be a great time to get a PS3 especially if you an get it with the MOVE bundle or a good package deal with all the holiday sales coming up. Don't worry about that PS4 stuff. Most of it is rumor. People can only speculate when PS4 will come out, but there has been no offical word. Go get it. You will not be disappointed.

I bought a Ps3 today. Traded in a handful of X360 games I hadn't played in ages and got £70. Ended up getting the 250GB model with GT5 Prologue and Killzone 2. Not played any games yet, but when I first pressed the power button I was like "wait...is this thing even on?" :lol:

If your in the uk HMV have a great deal on the 320g with move + a free game from the chart (medal of Honour or Tigerwoods). If you dont like the game though speak to them and if your nice enough they should be able to swap the game for one of equal price as a unwanted return:) its what i did :) Now is a great time mate, i regreated for a long time leaving ps3 for xbox and finally im now on the system i prefer. You have a brilliant back log of games to catch up on all at a good price now, and 2011 looks really great for ps3 users. Do it as soon as your funds allow:)
I'm ditching the 360 this holiday and heading over to the PS3 camp also. Tons of greatest hits titles that I can pick up cheap, and I gave grown tired of giving M$ my money to play online. With all of the great exclusive games coming out next year, andM$ charging $10 more for Live,I can't see a better time to buy a PS3.
It is a good time to buy one however since it's close to holiday season and you've already waited this longyou may want to wait a little while longer to see if any good deals come along.
Ignore everyone that says the PS4 will be out soon.. no one knows if when/if a PS4 is going to come out, and considering they are still making games for PS2, and a LOT of people are still playing PS2.. the PS3 is going to be around for many, many years to come. They also recently came out with Move.. they wont be bothering to make a new system anytime soon. Right now its all about peripherals and accessories to give people a new gameplay experience.
