I'm am new to gamespot and i was wondering it it worth buying a PS3 just for ni no kuni. I am more of a nintendo guy but ni no kuni looks amazing and i may also try out uncharted. so in your opinion is it still a good time to go PS3 and are there any other games you would recommend(please no FPS I hate those) .thanks for the help.

I don't see the Playstation 4 coming out anytime soon, and if you've made your mind up for a PS3 over a 360, then I don't see why not. For games, I'd recommend motorstorm series, castlevania LOS, Demon Souls, Dead space, La Noire (namely because they're the only non-fps I have). There's loads of games to choose from.

I would wait to see if they'll announced ni no kuni VIta.

If you decide to get a ps3, here's my recommendation - God of War 3, valkyrie chronicle(underrated gem). folklore(underrated gem) & 3D Dot Game Heroes

No it's not too late. That being said, if you're getting it only for those 2 games then Ninokuni is coming to the DS and since youre a Nintendo guy you might wanna play it on that. And Uncharted is a cinematic experience, so you could just watch it on youtube instead of shedding 250 bucks on the console. But the PS3 is a great console, it's got loads and loads of good games, try to check the recommendation thread. I strongly suggest you do buy one.

The PS3 seems to have about another 5 years if Sony sticks to their "10 Year Plan". No one is going to jump on board with Nintendo just because of the Wii-U.

No its not only those two game I will probably also get little big planet(1 or 2 probably not both unless there is a reason too) and the sly collection and sly 4 and the ratchet and clank's and probably batman archam asylum and city and skyrim(maybe) is it worth it for all these games.

At $250 I'd say yeah, it's worth it. There's a large catalog of games to choose from now and even if a PS4 is released within a year or two from now, you'd still have a good number of games to play on the PS3.

Then yes, it's worth it. Remember there are many other games which you might like, so as long as you have the console you can get those as well. The PS4 isn't coming too soon, and even when it does the PS3 will still have few years of support.

Nope its not too late for a PS3 plus if your a NFL fan grab the NFL Sunday Ticket from the PSN totally worth it now. We were able to watch the Tampa Bay Bucs game and the picture and streaming quality was hell of alot better than last weeks games and there are tons of games out right now for the PS3.

My rule of thumb has always been that if a system five or more games that I want to play, then I will buy it. If you are interested in Ni No Kuni, Uncharted, Batman, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, and Little Big Planet, then I would say you should get the system. There are three installments of Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted on the PS3. That makes six games plus the others. You wish to play about nine games, I would say go for it.

If there are enough games you want to play on the system, it's never too late. I don't think the PS4 will be out for awhile and even so, it'll probably be expensive and lacking in the games (at first anyway).

Nope not at all. I think the PS4 won't have backwards compatibility so you should buy a PS3 to play the exclusives.

Yes, I agree with you. It is not too late to buy the PS3. But I have also heard about the announcement of PS4. So you can wait for next new one to feel something extraordinary thrill and adventure.

It is never too late to buy a PS3. The PS4 is no where near being closed to launch. So if you really want to try some of the games, A new PS3 is only 249.99 for a 160Giger.

No. I believe Sony will continue to work on the PSV a bit longer before they bring out more hardware for us to purchase. PS3 has some incredible games in its catalog. So buy and play away.

No way! PS3 still has about 3-5 years in it, if people think everybody is going to run out and buy a PS4 they are crazy! The PS2 is still alive 6 years into the PS3's life. Sony dont drop consoles like other companies.. Even if the PS4 did come out next year the PS3 has a fantastic list of games to play that wont instantly be redundant. Theres never been a better time to buy a PS3 imo.

Are you interested in buying a PS4 at launch? Since I will only buy a PS4 in two or three years, I'm buying a PS3 slim to replace my YLOD phat PS3. If you're like me and will not leave current gen anytime soon, I say its still damn worth it to buy one. I will give one advice though: wait for E3 (its only less than a month away) as there are rumours PS3 will drop its price by then. You have nothing to lose in waiting a couple of days, it might be worth it

It's NEVER too late to buy a PS3. The value is WAY better than a 360 hands down. Besides the multiplatform titles, the PS3 also has strong first party support from Sony studios. There's a game for every genre on the PS3, first party and third party. Plus, online gaming is free and, despite what people say, works well. Also, since you own a Wii, check out the PS Move as well. It's like the Wii, but with more serious games. LOL

Absolutely not, the system will continue to have support for 2-3 more years. During that time, PS4 will be announced. Regardless, lots of fantastic games to enjoy. To your style try: Eternal Sonata, Valkyria Chronicles, Ni No Kuni is out soon, White Knight Chronicles 1,2. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are harder RPG but really good.

Little Big Planet 1,2. Both Batman Games, Uncharted series, InFamous series, Assassins Creed series.

Have fun and add me to friends list if you wish. ;)

You can do anything you want to do. It makes a pretty good yet economic Blu Ray player. There are also some games that play better on it but overall only get it if you don't have a PC/360.

never too late if you really are addicted to it, it would not fade that fast. actually , playstation for me is much better then a PC local game. Xbox are also good.
