Is it true that PS3 will kill the PC?

I've read an article that says PS3 performs almost like a PC, you can browse the world wide web, watch a video, play music, slides photos... etc....

I'm still thinking if I'll buy a PS3.

somebody out there who has a PS3 unit.. please tell me if I can install a Starcraft 2 game, which is a PC platfrom, on that unit? does it work?

the only reason why i am sticking with my ps3 is becoz my current PC is dead. ram i guess. but i doubt ps3 will kill the pc industry. before any great games appeared on consoles, PC games were awesome. note: my stupid 360 is also dead.

The PC is primarily intended for work, such as, digital art, coding, research, or just make writing faster. While the PS3 is not intended for that, it is intended to entertain us, videogames movies, music. So I see no reason why PS3 would kill the PC.
