Is it worth getting the PS4 PRO without a 4k tv?

I am considering getting the pro because of the additional support it brings to 1080p displays such as stable frame rates, super sampling and native 1080p across your entire game library. But I'm unsure whether or not just for these little tweaks that certainly offer a boost (not a very big one I must say for those planning to stick to 1080p such as myself) for 1080p gamers, whether it is worth the extra 100 pound over the cheaper ps4 slim. Would I notice a difference between the two?

(Money is not an issue so the extra 100 is not an issue it's just trying to figure out whether or not it is worth it)

get the pro if money isn't an issue lol but you would benefit even more if you own a 4K tv.

I'm in the similar predicament, already have a ps4 but strongly considering the Ps4 Pro until I can pick up the 4K monitor and TV.

There is no rush right now to be honest.

hi The ongoing problem with fourk tvs is that theyre too large; of all the tvs that exist; and you wont be able to; at least I cant; keep up with the action on screen if the tv is that large of a size! So although the image looks better than it did before it would be more difficult to play a large number of games that rely on quick movement!

If money is not an issue then why are you asking if it's worth it ?

Having a Pro without a 4K TV is like going to the strip club and closing your eyes

No it's not. you'll notice the difference even on a 1080 TV, the graphics and the frame rate will be improved. of course you won't take advantage from this console full capability, but your example is wrong.

Can you explain to me how the graphics will be better? What extra graphical capabilities will the Pro have?

If I were in your situation, I'd hold off the couple months and get the Pro. It seems TV technology is embracing HDR more and more and 4K seems here to stay. In other words, those two features the PS4 Pro is supporting more than the normal PS4 don't appear to be gimmicks.

May as well prepare for the 4K/HDR home theater experience now.

@benny_boy98: If you never had a PS4, get the Pro...especially if "money isn't an issue".

You waited this long, might as well get the latest and greatest.

I have my regular PS4 and I'm fine, but if I had waited all this time with no PS4 and an upgrade was there next month, I'd bite.

The problem I have is I'm already hundreds in the hole, so I'll stick with what I got.

The console will simply upscale resolution to 4k. Thats it. HDR is available on the current PS4.

Do you really think games will have options like they do on PC where you can tune the graphics? This is nothing but a cash grab. You're welcome to it if you like.

No console ever will be at the level of PC in aspect of graphics. and yeah i'm going to fall into this cash trap, i think it'll be one of the most fun traps ever.
