Is it worth it to trade in 10 Xbox 360 games and 1 Wii game for a PS3 60GB?

Well, I am really interested in getting a PS3, but is it really worth it for the $499 for the 60GB version? Also, it'll be hooked upto anHDTV for the meanwhile since I really don't feel like unplugging the HD Cable Box everything just to play in HD, nor can I connect it to my monitor, so it'll be played on an HDTV but with the composite cables. Anyway, since GameStop/EBGames is doing the deal where you trade in 2 games for the 360, Wii and the PS3 you get an extra $10 value. So, I thought I might take advantage of this offer, because it seems as if I'm not getting ripped off (as much) this time. So, here's the games I would be trading in:

Xbox 360:

1) Call of Duty 2

2) Far Cry InstinctsPredator

3) Fight Night Round 3

4) F.E.A.R.

5) G.R.A.W. (First One)

6) PocketBike Racer

7) Quake 4 (Not with the Quake II Disc)

VIII) Table Tennis (Rockstar Games Presents)

9) The Darkness

10) The Outfit

Wii:

1) Red Steel

By the way, I'll still have 6 games for the Wii I can play and 14 Xbox 360 games to play.

So, is it worth it? - By the way, all that trade-in credit won't cover the PS3, it'll just take off at least $150 off the PS3 and I'll just pay the rest in cash.

Because I tried it myself, the Burger King games are excluded.

I own a PS3 and just bought a 360... right now 360 is better.. but if you're thinking within the next 6 months/long term... deffinitely get a PS3.

If I could only chose one I'd stick w/ the PS3

Well, if you're set on getting a PS3 & can't just afford the full price, then you might as well. It's just that EB/Gamestop rips you off so bad on trade-ins, even with the extra $10 deal. But if it gets a PS3 into your hands & you've had your fill of those games, then have at it.

Well, if it's an extra $10 on each game and not after every two games, then I'll do it. Also, I think I'd rather play The Darkness on the PS3 for some reason, I think it would be much better on the PS3 as for the other games, either no one plays it online anymore or their sequels are coming out for the PC or 360 (F.E.A.R.; COD2; Far Cry).

Try to sell the games on ebay first. EB/gamestop is unreasonable with trade-ins.Blommen

Actually, my eBay account is restricted, has been for a while. I need to get it re-instated and I haven't had time to do it yet, so this is my only choice, normally though, I use eBay first since EB/GameStop obviously is ripping me and other gamers off.

I can't, that's why I'm acting fast on this deal. I guess I could do the trade-ins and get it on an EB Edge Card and use it in 6 months, but why would I want to wait that long? I would definitely buy these games: Enchanted Arms (since I liked it on the 360 and I never finished it); Ninja Gaiden Sigma; Warhawk and then when November hits I'll probably get Haze.

When my xbox360 broke, and the helpline told me it would be $130to fix that POS (before warranty extension).

I marched all my 360 stuffto gamestop, sold what I thought I was getting a fair price for, (the only offered $4 for a wireless controller (ummm, no)), then I took my cash and walked over to walmart and bought a ps3

I would get one because it's only a temp. situation when I won't be connected to HD. Either I'll wait until Christmas and purchase an HDTV or I'll eventually find a way to connect the PS3 to my monitor and play via HD then.
