Is LAIR really that bad???

Ive heard some people liked it & its not the first time the players have liked something the critics hate. Ive never played it& just want to know.

I couldn't play through the whole thing.

Not that bad, people just like to jump on the bandwagon of hate.

i bought it day of release, couldnt get passed the 2nd level...this game was really really horrible to my eyes i literally couldnt look at the screen because just the landscapes were like so shinny...i think they tried to make the graphics TOO good for this game...and the controls...i only got to kill a few dragons ontop of a dragon...which i found a wee bit difficult

I think Lair is in the bottom 3 worst games on the PS3. I really tried to play through it and it just is frusterating and the graphics suck. Even with the analog control update it is terrible.

It's not that bad, but not that good.

I actually find the game offensive, its an abomination to God tbh...

I haven't played it, but from what I've seen on it, it looks horrible.

I have had the game since it was released and I enjoy it even before the patch but with the new patch its much easier to just pick up and play.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Lair... I never played it, but appparently that's a good thing. (Found this pic in another thread btw) XD

I like it enough to put it in my top 10 games this gen, but i'm a minority. i think its just a bit too hard for most people. Oh and i swear by the motion controls in that game too, damn the analogs to hell.

It reminds me of star wars rouge squadron for the Gamecube. Lair is worse than it sounds... flying dragons around landing to eat people, i played a good 70% but i didn't enjoy it... rent it before buying save your self time and money

It wasn't as bad as people said it was, but it's 2009, there is a lot better out to play then Lair. If you have patience with the controls and know some secrets about how to do fireballs, then you might actually have some fun. There are better games out by far though.

Dam I guess Im not buying it, but I still could have been a great game & hopefully someone will try again & actually give a crap about how it plays & how it looks

The fact that this game was supposed to end the "drought" in 2007 is what made it even worse

They fixed every issue I had with LAIR in a patch. Its actually pretty good. Deserves alot better than some people give it.budboarder
