Is LittleBigPlanet ganna save PS3?

Halo 3 is Outdated now

its all about the call of duty 4, and thats on both systems.

So is little big planet ganna save us or is it over hyped like Haze (piece of sht game)

the ps 3 might be in third but it still sales alot more than any dreamcast like systems (neo geo, sega cd ect.)

IMO:

-HALO 3 is still relevant for anyone looking to play HALO.

-For me, COD4 is in the past.

-HAZE was simply way over-hyped, not a flatout failure of a game.

-PS3 is a monster of a machine and will be longstanding as such.

I think LBP will be one of those games that will appeal to everyone. Especially the casuals, but also "hardcore " gamers. Heck I know I was blown away in how simple and fun the game was the second I put my hands on the beta.

Everyone is echoing my thoughts too...

LBP looks like a solid game and the amount of content available will be huge. This is looking like a successful generation from my perspective and even if Sony does not come out with another console in the future, I am still satisfied with this one.

LBP wont be like haze, it is hoverhyped, but we know wath we gonna get.

The only thing i didnd like in the beta was, u could count by your hands the people who made really good maps, like takeshy's castle and the heist.

but i will bet tath when it comes out there will be a thousand crappy maps and a hundred good maps

PS3 may have seemed to need saving by game developers, but that fear has been abolished by an exclusive AAAA title called MGS4.

Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake.

You're living in the past buddy. Sony doesn't need saving. There plans are long term and we're seeing those plans coming to fruition this holiday season. There install base is growing, while 360's is starting to steady. Wii IMO is in a class of it's own. Not my thing, but definitely VERY popular for it's price point and innovation. But if you look at the console war between 360 and PS3, it looks like Sony is staying for the long haul. ;)

However, I feel that LBP WILL sell A LOT of console as will FF13, GOW3, Fallout 3, RE5, Tomb Raider, and Dead Space!!

What happened to the PS3 that it needs saved from? The beta of littlebig planet is a blast, its definetly going to be an amazing and unique game, I think it will be a great addition to the PS3 library.

PS3 has a better CoD 4 community for one. While yes, there are less people with mics, that means less 12 year olds whining.

Anyway, PS3 doesn't need to be saved, it's an EASY 5 year console. 360 on the other hand IMO is going to turn out the the original Xbox, short console life, but still a great console.

Plus, with the exclusives we're looking at, next year is going to be the biggest year for Sony ever. Along with reviving the PSP next year.

As most people said (I didn't bother reading all the comments) the ps3 does not need to be saved. It really never needed saving since its debut. The only reason people thought this is a) you're foolish and you expected it to be great right off the bat, a feat which is difficult for anything with so much hype; b) because of all the propaganda from Microsoft and their supporters; or c) the unearned success of the Wii caused people to panic. The ps3 has been just fine.
