I love the Metal Gear Solid games. They are immensely awesome. We know that MGS4 filled the Blu-Ray disc, they actually had to cut bits out because the game was so big. We also know that Metal Gear Rising is definitely going to be on Xbox, so I am just hoping that the game is still as big as it can be and fill another Blu-Ray disc just like MGS4. If they do then the 360 version of Metal Gear Rising will obviously have to have more than 1 disc (Like Final Fantasy 13 or whatever they are on).

So basically my concern is that because they are focusing it so much on being on Xbox I hope that they don't skimp out on material just to make it fit on one Xbox disc.

I haven't read if this is talked about anywhere but would be cool to hear some ideas.

of course it will, it wont be like any other mgs game. this game will be much more about gameplay than story.

I don't think it will be as heavily story based as MGS4 was, so I think the game will be large enough to fit one DVD.

I don't think it will but not because of the reasons you stated above. Will not be a sell out will make top ten but not a sell out. Not like bad company 3 will be.

It'll definitely be more gameplay than story-based with probably less than half the amount of cutscenes but I seriously doubt they'll be able to fit this game on one DVD. They couldn't even condense Castlevania Lords of Shadow onto one DVD. This will either be on two DVDs or three. If it's one then I'll be shocked (wouldn't be the first Metal Gear Solid game they span across two discs though).

So does that mean we'll get actual gameplay instead of walking for five minutes, and running into a cutscene? As seems to be the trend with Final Fantasy and Metal gear now. And there are games that span multiple discs on the 360, ala Lost Odyssey an RPG spanning Four separate DVD's, and FFXIII had what, three?
