Is MGS online any good?

I have seen lot of reviews and opinion for the single player game but i haven't heard very much of the online multiplayer. Is the multiplayer any good? Do you think you will be playing the multiplayer for a long time or will it get old fast?

Whats the good and bad things about MGS multiplayer.

I like it think it's pretty good.

Do I see myself playing in later on? Yeah, I wouldn't see why not, BUT once Socom Confrontation all bets are off jk lol

Guns are cool, pretty much like single player from grapping to knife kills.

Bad thing I don't like is the mic talk, hardly anyone talks. If you have a keyboard, alot will chat back.

It is as good as anything else. There is nothing wrong with it. It would be better if more users had headsets but the gameplay itself is great. You have good maps and and can choose a number of game types like deathmatch and a capturetheflag mode. there is also a mode where one player goes snake and has to take dog tags from the players on the 2 other sides who look to find snake, in this mode snake can use his octocamo to hide. the other player objectives is to find the player who is snake and also kill the other team of players.

There are tons of players online and i am sure there will be more maps and stuff on the way.

I thought that it was OK but it is not going to drag me away from CoD4 thats for sure. Personally I just prefer the 1st person shooter type of game instead of the 3rd person type. it looks good but all that sneaking around just does my head in :)D1rty_Dawg

See that what i wanted to know. I play a lot of COD4 so it sound like i wont play much of MGS online. I dont like the idea of all the sneaking around.

I think am just going to borrow this game from a friend to play the single player and if the online inproves i will but the game when it comes down in price.

its neither stealth nor action ......

It hasn't been laggy for me once ... I just think it's ridiculously boring

especially after playing Single player

I wouldn't say the game is boring, but we basically got an extended beta version. It just doesn't feel like a finished product to me. It's fun but it can't compare to real online shooters, like Warhawk, CoD4, RsV2, etc..

I enjoy MGO, its fun and being a fan of the MGS series, i will surely spend many time online playing the game...

However MGSIV is simply amazing, am already playing through the SP a 2nd time :)
