Is mid game freezing normal ?

Hey , I just got my 80GB PS3 about a month back .

I was playing KZ2 online yesterday when it suddenly froze . I turned off the PS3 and turned it back on , and everything was fine .

This is the first time my PS3 has frozen , so is it ok ?

Yes it is normal. Unfortunately games randomly do that sometimes. It has happened to me many times with different games.

If it just happens occasionaly, you're alright, but if it starts happening regularly, you probably have a problem.

yeah, freezing is pretty common and normal to every console. It's bound to happen a few times with in your console's life span

When it was brand new mine would freeze on me everyday, sometimes multiple times, until the disc drive finally stopped reading any media. It's been almost a year since it was fixed and it's never frozen on me again, not once. I'd say an occassional freeze is okay, just not constant.
