Is MvC2 worth getting for casual play?

I've never played it before, and people seem to be pretty hardcore about this game, so I'm not sure if it's worth getting to just play casually. Is it as inaccessible to new players as people make it sound?

I just got it off the store, been waiting awhile I guess im a casual fighter fan, it's fast but the specials are pretty easy, depth is there if you want it too, just got mauled but a herd of serv bots, so cute :p

The game is meant for anyone that likes fast actioned fighting games. It's definitely a fun game if you have friends to play with but I also personally like beating up on the computer every now and then. Now with online, I'm sure it'll be more fun.lextexrex

Great game, but it isn't a pick-up and play randomly game, unless you're playing with friends. That's what really shines with this version, solid online play.

if you like fast paced action, its worth it.

If your getting this for casual play I hope you have some friends around because there are people online who have played this game for many, many years so get prepared to lose alot.

I myself was thinking about purchasing this of the PSN Store as it was one of my favorite fighters back in the day of the Dreamcast BUT I do own already own a Dreamcast version and the inclusion of online play and a horrible HD upgrade doesn't really justify it for me.

Just a warning: there's a nasty bug that causes the PS3 to crash whenever you try to search for matches online.
