I'm getting a PS3 later this month, and I'm wondering if Modern Warfare 2 is a good selection as a first game. I am only getting one game with it, and I'm eying MW2. It will be my only game for it until Christmas, and then I'll probably get MGS4, UC2, LBP, and a few others.
MW2 is a good first game to be safe, since it will be populated and probably keep you occupied enough before you get exlusive games for the PS3. UCT, MGS4, LBP is great and all but I will never be able to play those game over and over for a month in a half.
Depends what you're looking for. If you're really into FPS's and multiplayer gaming, then yes. If you're more of a single player person, or have a bad internet connection (like me) then I would say no.
You should pick up the first uncharted before then too. The story and gameplay aren't the epicness of U2, but you will get the character development and an amazing thrill ride with it.

If you like Call of duty then sure why not. The game will have tons of people playing it and it will mostlikely keep you busy till and even past Christmas.
It dependson why you aregetting a PS3. What do you like about it? What types of games do you like? Does PS3 deliver this.. AFter all it can do everything!
