I am a student,currently in high school (if that is what the level of education I am currently in is addressed as in the Europe and the US),got my setup as shown in the pic in the holidays with the money i got from doing part time job.

I am planning to get a PS4 around November next year,but I am afraid that my TV will not be able to bring out the consoles best graphic.Is my tv enough for the PS4 ????It's a Sony KDL32R300B.

It will work, however there are cheap monitors, which have miles lower input lag. I'm actually still using my VGA 1080P monitor on mine.

@clashdragon9797: No, it's a 720p HDTV at the minimum 60hz. Everything about that HDTV is low spec, even when it was brand new.

I wouldn't know, I have never owned a 720p HDTV in my life...and I have been an early adopter of HDTV's since the Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox/GC days. I also have never owned a 60hz bare minimum HDTV in my life. I have however been to friends houses that do have those HDTVs and I see a huge difference all the time...years before the PS4 existed.

720p as a midtier HDTV was completely skippable tbh.

I can tell you that there is a massive difference in (over 100%) pixels.

1080p = 2,073,600 pixels

720p = 921,600 pixels.

---

I would recommend getting a 1080p 40-55 inch HDTV with 120hz or higher.

Heck, look into Plasma or OLED.

For your budget it should do just fine, your 1080p games will see the downscale due to 720p TV resolution but it's far from not playable. To answer your question, no that TV will not show you the the true potential of the PS4 however it will look and play games just fine.

OLED?!!! Who the hell can afford that right now? Yeah, it's likely to rule the market eventually but the few models out right now are not worth the cost at all.

To the op: Black Friday deals will be coming up in a few months so if ya wanna upgrade to 1080p that's the best time to do it.

1080p tvs are getting pretty cheap now especially b/c almost all the electronic stores around me anyway are really trying to push their 4k tv lol

I'll also note that 120hz seems to be the standard now, at least for all the display tvs I saw

I was using a 32'' 720p vizio uber cheap tv for my games since 2010 but I recently got a 27'' 1080p samsung SE390 that works pretty good . I do sit quite close to it in a computer chair good enough for me.

I think as long as it's 1080p you're good to go. I've gamed on a few different TV's and I prefer LED as far as display. I have a 32' LED 1080p and it does the job for me and it was like $200 at the time. I don't really know about the fuss with the refresh rate. Pretty sure mine is 60hz and I don't think it's a big deal. I don't know how noticeable it really is, especially for the PS4. I wouldn't pay a whole lot more personally for 120hz. It doesn't look like there are many TV's under 40' that have that and I don't think it'd be worth the extra money. But if you're wanting to shell out more money for a bigger TV, then sure, may as well get that 120+hz.
