I thought Motorstorm 1 was good, but having to do races a dozen times over before I could beat the cheapass AI eventually ruined it for me. Does Pacific Rift suffer from the same problem? I don't mind some challenge, but damn, that game was cheap at times.
sony expects you to go through the track multiple times to get used to it, and find the best route to go, that's why you have to go through it so many times. i think >,> because, that's how PURE is...
But to answer your question, I have done 10 races and came in first on all but one of them. I came in second and it was by less than a second lol. But I was always good at Motorstorm 1...
Download the demo. I played that demo so much by the time i got the game i was already used the controls. And the is no push over but its not cheap either
I think I understand wat he is asking. The AI won't run over you so much as in Monument Valley but it happens sometimes on Pacific Rift too - especially if you get near a Monster Truck. The game is still hard as hell though - but not in the cheap way. Online gameplay is hard too, especially ranked races, cos u have to go even faster than single player mode. And the vehicle physics and handling have changed a bit. I would suggest you try it out before buying it. I really like it though. Glad I got it.
It's hard at times. I'm not sure what you mean by cheap. The AI doesn't have any "catch-up" cheat that I can tell, so that makes the game alright with me. I don't mind difficult AI as long as they don't do something stupid like give the AI supernatural abilities just so they can keep up.
