Is playing Demons Souls online worth the frustration?

First of all, I know the online is really innovated (plus a great way to grind some souls if you need levels), but two things would probably get in the way of my enjoyment:

1) Sometimes my internet connection craps out and I lose connection for about 30 seconds. Seriously, I get signed off, then maybe 20-30 seconds later I get signed back in. So if that happens while playing the game, can't it destroy/corrupt my file, and even if it doesn't, won't I get automatically booted from the game?

2) There are some levels (5-2, specially... friggin swamp), that I didn't love... well really like one, maybe two honestly, this game is so freaking awesome. But anyway, with the constant threat of being invaded and being quickly killed by an enemy player and having to start all over, is it really WORTH playing online all the time?

you can only be invaded while in human form, so it won't be a constant threat. While getting invaded sucks... if you are playing along with someone else, it's not terrible, just offers that extra (fun) threat. But on the flip side, i beat the game, went to ng+ as a human.... and was invaded... almost lost a huge amount of souls, which you can't use until you beat the first level

If you have friends that are playing the game then its worth it...sometimes you'll find great players randomly as well. I wish i could join but my copy kept freezing on the second world and that made me really upset...(I really love the game). My gamestop had no more copies...I may buy a new one from amazon or something eventually.

No game has instilled such an urgent emotion within me like Demon Souls has. When you've progressed so far without dieing and have accumulated so many souls without saving to have another player randomly invade your world, prepare for a fight of your life if your "man" enough to stand your ground. I'll never forget my 20 minute encounter with this shield/Lance guy as it turned into a mind game of wits and openings.

i used to have the game and its a good game. the online co-op is great and the whole message system and all that is pretty inovative. the pvp is pretty cool too, but to my experience u wont really stand a chance unless u grind for hours to get a special weapon or make a specific build or something like that. sometimes u can have a normal fight but most of the time ull just killed by some crazy fire spell that is like a 1 hit kill.

To be honest I really didn't care for going online much, it's a cool feature I guessbut I preferred to play it offline. That way you can control your world tendencies to reach areas that might not have been previously accessible, among other benefits. But the best part about offline was NG+, and then getting pure black world tendency in world 4 (Shrine of Storms) and then just farm the black phantom skeletons using soulsuckerin 4-2 for around 100k souls, then rinse and repeat. Fastest way to level up, that I can guarantee.

then buy a long cable line or powerline internet adapterto connect your ps3 with router. Or just move router to your room...
