Hey PS3 board,

I was wondering if the Playstation Move is worth the buy? I understand that it doesn't any good games for it at the moment, but I think sports champions would last me a while from the looks of it but I just want to be sure.

Also, what should I get after the starter kit? My brother and I would love to play multiplayer games, so would i need two sub controllers? I understand that the dualshock 3 could also be used but doesn't the sub-controller have motion capabilities similar to the nunchuk on the wii or the sixaxis? I already plan on getting a second Move controller if I do happen to get the starter kit but I'm a bit unsure on the sub-controllers.

Also, any other recommendations for accessories would be great. Thanks :D!

I got the starter kit and a second move controller. Still considering the nav ones but the ds3 is working fine so far. Sports champion looks good, but RE5 gold is doing fine for me so far

I recommend it wholeheartedly. The Wii never brought my whole family together like the Move did. it's what the Wii wishes it could have been. Get Sports Champions and you're set.

I haven't played it all day but only because I've been really busy but yes it is worth it. Most of the launch line up kind of sucks but Sports Champion is really good and next month we should be getting Time Crisis and The Shoot :) not sure when Mag patch is going out (if it hasn't gotten out) but I'm waiting for reviews to see how it handles. I refuse to buy RE5 again so no go for that but the next couple of months seems like the good games are going to roll is TIME CRSISISISIS!!!!!

I'm not sure I can say it's worth the money at this point. Soon I am beginning to think it will be but right now the games for it are pretty weak. Time Crisis was pretty decent but seemed exactly how I remember it. Sports Champions is puddle thin but it works well, don't expect much out of it. Tiger Woods 11 controls nice once you get into a game, my golf scores are horrible though. The Shoot was pretty fun in a cheesy sorta way, might be fun when it comes out.

Not a single one of those games are really gonna hold my interest long though, I hope they have games that are a bit more in-depth coming down the pipeline.

It looks cool but I'm waiting for it to get cheaper before I buy it. I already have the playstation eye and it's $80 for both controllers. Seems a little much for me with all the good games coming out. It probably isn't worth getting right now anyway, not enough good games that support the move. The only game I can think of is Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.

its not good if you have a small room. I don't own the Move but watching some G4 shows reviewing it they said that if you have to have a pretty big open area to use it properly. I guess the butter zone is at least 8 feet away from the camera. Thankfully im not really into motion controllers, thanks to having a coffee table and couch all with in 8 feet of my TV :P

It would be a pretty nice purchase now, and it will only get better when more games are coming out. I personally will get it once a few more games are coming out.

I got it yesterday with Sports Champion ( for which you don't need the navigation controller ) and I think it's excellent - in fact I blogged on the subjest if anyone wants to look :D:D

I just picked up mine last night and am blown away by the tech. I've only played Sports Champions and a bunch of demos (The Shoot and Start the Party are a ton of fun), but so far I'm happy with my purchase. Like someone said, it will only get better as new games come out because the tech is awesome.

Do i need two controllers? Also, is the navigation controller motion sensitive too? I saw some reviews and they all say ITS EVEN BETTER WITH TWO CONTROLLERS, ONE TO SHIELD AND ONE TO HIT. I want maximum satisfaction lol. Also, do i really have to be very far from my tv? my room is small

A bundle with Sports champions is like $100. The most expensive accessory is the Move wand itself (about $50), the others such as the nav controller and playstation eye are cheaper. I'd wait for the wand to drop at least $10 in price.

I bought mine to replace my Wii. Well worth it their. Still nothing special as of now. I'd hold off for better games. What is out there now are basic party games. I bought it simply to have group games to play, another dimension to gaming, not to replace the hardcore side of gaming. If you aren't interested Wii type games, don't bother.

This is a better motion controller than the Wii. It's good, just want better games to play (And a Better Camera!!)

Picked it up day 1 in Australia. Sports Champions is good, like Wii Sports good... not Metal Gear Solid 4 good. I also picked up Kung Fu Rider, and Start The Party (both pre-ordered and paid for on import before I read the reviews) which both kind of suck. So if you think Sports Champions can hold you over until better games arrive I say go for it. I also have the Move version of RE5, it's heaps easier to play using standard controls IMHO. Move support added nothing for me.

I'm going to pick up the bundle and an extra move controller tomorrow. I hope my room is big enough or I'm going to have to rearrange a lot of stuff.

You need to be about 2.5m ( or 8 feet ) in front of the camera/tv for the best performance!

you don't need two.. but for me i get more of a real feel with two. I don't have the nav controller so i wouldn't know about that. annnnnd a screen always pops up saying you should be about 8 feet (2.5m) away from the camera.

does it matter where the camera is positioned. My TV is at an angle, so do I need to position the camera at the same angle?

I played with both controllers plugged in with the standard 4ft USB cable...space isn't really an issue; I was, literally, 4ft away from my tv.

I would get it but $100 is a little too much, plus I have to buy a navigation controller, and what if I want to play with friends? I have to buy 3 more Move controllers plus 3 more Navigation controllers. I can buy another PS3 and still have $$$ left over than spend all that $$$ on Move
