I just sold my 360 and got a PS3 a few days ago. I got the 160GB. I have 9 PSone games, install data for MAG. 8 demos and a downloadable game (Costume Quest) and I still have 109GB left. I'd say its more than enough. I would have got an 80GB 4USB (it has PS2 backwards compatibility) but Gamestop.com sold out before I could buy it (it cost $240 compared to $299 for a 160GB slim) but I wasnt too bummed because I heard they overheat easily and get the YLOD sooner or later regardless of what you do.

But yea 160GB is more than enough.

Yup should be good to go!

It's so awkward with a 40GB.

You won't have a problem unless you store in it a ton of movies, songs and stuff. I have the 120 GB slim and always have plenty of space left. You can delete older installed games, that you know you won't be playing and you're good to go.

It depends on how many games you plan to play. If you're gonna play a lot of games then I'd suggest getting the 320 GB model.

Yeah, I still have the P.H.A.T. (That's Pretty Hot And Tempting) 60gb one and that suits me just fine, so you should be good with 160gb.

Buy the PS3 with the least amount of Gigs, use the $50 or whatever you save and get a 500gb Hard Drive. Never have a storage worry from then on. Because basically its like, do you want 40gigs more for your extra $50? or do you want 500gigs?

Depends, I replaced an 80GB with a 760GB and I've almost used 400GB already! Hahaha!

For me? Nope. PSN is host to some rather large game files. Between Siren, Tomb Raider Underworld, The whole Prince of Persia Trilogy, Dead Space Extraction, and others... I regard 250 GB as the basic acceptable HDD size for PS3 gaming. (and boy do I ever wish the PSP Go had more internal memory, I could really use at least 100GB)

I'd say no. I have 250 and I'm down to 105 and I don't feel like I've got much on there.

Unless you're the kind of person who only plays a few games at a time, I'd go for the 320.
