I just heared that PS4 online is no longer free and that you now have to pay to use the internent. I don't know if this is true or if its a slight mistake. The video cut around that part so i'm just double checking. I'm still happy with the PS4, just worried that PS4 online is now paid and not free anymore

so in other words, if i want to play GTA4 online, i have to pay for it :(, that does kinda suck, but either way, PS4 is still the number 1 for me. The show did lag, but the ending sure made me cheer.....apart from the darn 5bucks a months thing lol >.

You pay to play multiplayer but you can still play single player and watch Netflix for free. Its just being a ps+ member now. U get the instant game collection benefit.

It kinda sucks that they tied multiplayer in with the PS+ membership, but compared to what Microsoft offers for XBL Gold Members, this is still a much better deal.

it does slightly ruin it for me in a little way, but if there is a yearly payment for like £49.99 instead of £5 a month, then that will be ok (i hope lol). Also does the PS+ transfer to the PS4 from the PS3 so you don't have to pay twice. I wont be getting the PS4 just yet, but when i do, i prob try and get some stuff from PS+ for the PS3. Also are the rumors true that the PS4 is in fact more powerful than the X1. My video feed was pretty awful, so i'm still trying to pick up on info. All i know is that everyone was over the moon to know you have virtually no restrictions on the PS4 with games and all

Good point. Could get expensive to if you keep buying graphic cards just to stay current though. PC is still the best way to go, but just depends how serious u are.

when it comes to PC games, my brother downloads them. I don't play online on PC, although i might try to later on. I'm more of a console person. I don't know much about computers and i felt the PS3 had a lot to offer. Granted the new payment will suck, i just hope theres a yearly fee and i hope it can be done through Visa/ Credit card and so on :)

Yeah the restrictions thing was a sigh of relief. They do have the yearly payment still of 50 bucks in America.

Correct. They're moving on to a premium subcription service which I'm prefectly fine with because at least I know I'll be getting what I pay for!

See im poor so 1k is a lot for me. So console is the way I go cuz it last for 10 years. Granted pc will evolve much quicker but im fine with that as long as im still current in playing the new games. Really though its prolly pretty close in terms of price for pc and console with games and accessories and subscription. Some one who is not as lazy as me should do a comparison chart of a years worth of expense.

since now the digital thing can go from a cheap DLC to full games or other services, thus very flexible, I can guess you'll either have PS+ for 15 for 3 months or 50 for a year OR a reduced fee for just online

Technically they said "less than 5 dollars" a month, which probably means 4.99 lol. Its not a big deal to me, 5 bucks a month is nothing to most people. Only people that'll have trouble are younger people with no income like teens with no part time.

I could care less about the instant game collection benefit. If I want a game, I'll go out and get it.

Whats going to be so premium about it? The fact I can download all these cheesy games that I don't want to play in the first place? I tried the PSN+ for a month and it was a joke. So really the only benefit to paying now is there SHOULD be an increase in reliability of online play and there BETTER be dedicated servers. Otherwise its going to be a rip off.

Eye of the beholder. The fact that I get free games each month, patches, updates, etc are automatically downloaded and installed to my PS3 when I wake up are just two of the reasons PS+ is not useless to me. But to each his own.

Sony charging a fee to play games online is a good thing because it will force them to improve the quality of their online service, which I'm looking forward to. Xbox Live is an amazing online service and there is no way it would be as great as it is if it was free. Microsoft was forced to provide a high quality online service because if they did not then people would not pay for it. Thus far, Sony has been able to get away with having only a mediocre online service because they had the excuse of "well, at least it is free", but now that they are charging to play online, it sets a standard of quality that they now must deliver, which is a good thing if you love online gaming.
