i imagine that little timmy and billy racist wont be able to easily convice mom and dad to buy a 600$ system. besides, the people that typically buy ps3s are probably more mature gamers in the sense that theyre willing to a buy a pricier system. mirite?-COOLIO-
No matter what system you own you will always come across rude people. it's a fact and there is nothing you can do about it. The 360 has some filtering and zoning techniques that come in handy and there is always the effective mute button. Either way no matter what systemandeven on the PC there will always be rude people.
there are people who will tell you they never came across rudeness on PSN and some will say the same for Live butnot everyone will have standards as yourself and you cannot change that.
.... So you are going to come across more rude people on XBL just because there is more people in general. smith447
I agree with that statement. But if i ever come across racist and annoying people on XBL, i just set them on Ignore and way i will never be matched up with them in another game (regardless of the game). There is also a global mute option for annoying players.
I've not played a PS3 game online, so i dont know how the people act.
And TC, I really dont think money has anything to do with it. I've seen poor racist and wealthy ones.
Also, the PS3 is not that much more expensive than the X360 to assume that PS3 owners have more money than X360 owners. The X360gameattach rate proves that owners have the money.
a person said he would kill my cousin in real life when he said the N word over xbox live. WIERD PEOPLEagariboldi
You are generalizing people that play on Live. These kind of things can happen on any platform.I was playing RFOM and these guys kept cursing and i personally do not like to cursing in my ears. On Live all i do is change my Zone to Family and I am matched with family oriented individuals.

Thanks, Longhorn (UT yeah). But i dont think that 12 years olds are really purchasing the device anyway. Its their parents, who have the money.
Lets revisit this post in a year after the PS3 has some mass appeal games. I experienced the same thing wiht the X360 when i first got it (my first game was GRAW). Everybody was nice and respectful. Now, not so much. But the large majority of people a nice.
PSN much better so far since it costs so much and plus you have to buy a headset. But there also alot less people on PSN and even less with headsets while every little kid and their buddy has xboxlive headset and they all feel the need to tell you how to play the game and that your gay
I have yet to hear anyone on PSN curse another player out say anything racist or call someone gay or tell them how to play the game.
Im 13 and paid for half and games. Thus, I am teh pwnage. Lol, but PSN is as simple as logging in and doing your stuff, friends, store and or games. And the store takes your money very nicely also. johnnythegamer2
my god you're 13 and you have such an awesome rig.
Saved up for 2 years and finally got a PS3. I'm just happy the people i play with are @$$holes
