THE PSP2 HAS NOT BEEN ANNOUNCED! There is no promise by sony to make another handheld. EVERYTHING is purely speculation. the pspgo is a failure and sells for MORE money than the psp3000 but has fewer games. MANY MANY games are only available on UMD (Kingdom Hearts:BBS is one of them in fact) so getting a psp without a umd drive is kinda dumb, not to mention more expensive (the console and games cost more than the umd versions often).
NO do NOT buy the go. I have one trust me I liked it at first but no it's YUCK!

Listen to this guy. Just get a regualr UMD 3000 series ot whateve the newest one is. UMD is the way to go.

Take heed of the knowlegde or thou shall fail is gaming eternal life. The PSP 3000 is the fruit of Knowledge and Power, eat from it and you will have a surplus of women to serve you.
Im still using the original model that I got a few weeks after it was released..still works like a champ. The go is not meant to be a replacement but a better portability option for those who would rather not UMDs. For me the UMD is the way to go and I hope they do not go to a compeltely digital format (or the phone format I have heard rumors of).

UMD is not the way to go if you want to play a game that takes disk then just get a ps3 or some thing the psp go is meant for going not hauling a she-it load of UMDs around with you
