Lately I've been reading up on Hideo Kojima, Konami, and the "P.T" teaser that unveiled "Silent Hills". I was a huge fan of "P.T" and played it a bunch of times. I didn't achieve the ending, though, but not in lack of trying. After reading some "guides", I felt the outcome was kind of random... Anyway, the game was fresh, and the P.T-demo became the game I always wanted Silent Hill: The Room to become - a game with very limited space, but "endless", abstract, truely horrific possibilities.
I was devestated to read that the game was cancelled, and I still can't believe, to this day, some months after the cancellation, that they have actually canned the game...?! I've been scouting online and find some information about the Kojima-situation. Some sites say a Kojima-Konami power-struggle was the case of the falling out (Konami), while the Konami website stated that it was a difference in interest that caused the seperation.
I really want the game to BE! The game reached such an amazing amount of followers and accolades from E3. The trailer (not the P.T.) looks absolutelly horrifying and amazing! Konami would probably make so much money from this game, I can't believe they cancelled it!
Now, my questions. I've read online that Kojima and Del Toro still would like to/are working on a project, and it would definitely be in the genre of horror, but they have excluded Silent Hills.
Also, a "spiritual possessor" is in the making called "Allison Road". This keeps the P.T. -game alive, but I still yearn for Silent Hills.
Please tell me your thoughts about Kojima-Konami feud, and the cancellation of Silent Hills. What will Kojima do now? Does "Kojima Productions" still exist?
How do you feel about the cancellation of Silent Hills?
